Editing Needed[edit]

The sections on the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean abaci are in desperate need of editing for sentence structure, punctuation, etc. They appear to have been written by someone for whom English is not a first language, nor even a strong second. Joe Avins (talk) 07:21, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Description Wrong[edit]

Hi, I think the definition at the beginning is wrong-“bamboo frame with beads sliding on wires.” Number one, the frames are generally wood; number two, the beads do not slide on wires, but generally bamboo rods; and three, the beads are generally made of wood. Now there are some variations like plastic beads or frames and also jade beads. I don’t generally make changes to articles, but I make recommendations in the talk sections. Could someone make the corrections? Thank you. Chris. Redding7 (talk) 18:33, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Editing Needed[edit]

The Neurological analysis section was written by a nonnative speaker and contains spelling and grammar errors. Moreover, their interpretations of studies and use of scientific terms are suspect. This section would greatly benefit from review by someone with a familiarity with neuroscience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:401:101:2A40:7443:EBEB:3D20:16C3 (talk) 00:39, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

Animated example?[edit]

It would be useful, if one can be found (or created), to add an animated example of a calculation with the abacus. Pol098 (talk) 18:11, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Example of use[edit]

It might be useful to add an explained example of use for a simple calculation. Pol098 (talk) 19:03, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
