    For me it’s more than pride. I’ve literally had to hide myself in our truck so that white inspectors approve our modular construction projects. They see my husband (he’s white) instead and magically we pass; we press on and build more affordable housing.

    When building a company there are times you need to swallow your pride for the sake of what’s best for the business.

    Also, , I think it’s really sad what happened to all the other young women on that team. will be fine; but the rest of the squad lost out on being associated with ’s radiance. Sad!

    How sad. If there is one person on that team I’d like to hang out with, it’s . Pity the adults at haven’t learned to manage their discomfort with difference; now they’ve taught their bigotry to all those future voters/neighbors/parents. h/t
