Easy to Make Adjustments for USB-C PD Charging

It's extremely difficult to find a non-wireless desk dock for a USB-C device. This is one of the very few available for sale in the US, and the only one with a removable cable. As a dock, it works well. But, as other reviewers mentioned, the cord that comes with it is 1) rather short; 2) not setup for any kind of fast-charging. The good news is, the dock can be taken apart (as the pictures show) and a replacement cable can be inserted for USB-C to USB-C Power Delivery. You will need a right-angle USC-C cable but it has to be minimal on the right angled end. UGREEN makes one that is 6ft. It takes some careful plastic bending and rubber cutting to force fit the UGREEN cable (which is a bit bigger than the original cable), but once complete, it's as if the dock came with it. Why this company doesn't ship with a longer cable capable of this is probably a cost issue. And making this adjustment adds $9 to the cost of the dock. Is is worth it? If you want a USB-C dock in the US that can give you at least 18W of power, then yes, the cost of the original dock, plus the cable replacement and changes to the dock are worth it.

Didn't work with my Moto-X4 and case combo

This did not work with my Moto X4 and case combo. The plug doesn't extend far enough to make a connection to the phone with the case on it.
I found the Encased Moto G6 stand to work very well. It has an adjusting knob on the stand that allows you to set the proper height for the plug to fit your specific phone/case. It's openness should allows many other USB-C phone/case combos to work as well. This USB C dock is inexpensive, looks great, and works with my OnePlus 7 Pro and 6T both.
I have cases on both phones and both works with the dock. It charges and allows data transfer. It's small enough to be unobtrusive and looks good.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is a bit big, but it fits snug from the USB port. Sometimes two hands are needed to undock my phone. Maybe it will wear out a bit with constant use, but since I don't shake the table, even if loose, should be just fine.
A good purchase that I'm ordering a second one for the bedroom.

The concept is nice, and it's about $5 cheaper than a similar but more adjustable product from Encased. For that lower price, we don't get any plug height / depth adjustability.

Without this adjustability, my phone was floating quite some ways above the base of the charger, and would wobble quite a bit when plugged in. I stuck about 4mm thick cardboard on either side of the charging plug and that seems about right for my phone.

I'd find it hard to recommend saving $5 for the loss of adjustability when compared with Encased. That one is a better design.

keeps it out of my hands so i dont poke it all the time. I just leave it on the charger when i come home and its always charged when i need to take it with me. this charger can fit pretty much any size phone cause theres no sides on it. ive had previous mini usb ones that were specific to one model of phone but this is pretty universal for C type connectors. Its a little sticky to put it on /off but thats fine w me. its great. love it.

This iPhone dock easily (no need to remove my phone’s protective case) and quickly allows me to charge my iPhone 7Plus but the open design means it will accept an iPhone of any size/version. My iPhone rests securely in place when docked and, once charged, is easily removed with just one hand. The dock is well-balanced so, unless it takes a hit, it doesn’t tip over. The bottom does not stick in place like some but the above positive features seem to make this unnecessary. I have tried (and returned) a number of different dock-style chargers but this one is a winner, one I would definitely buy again.

I admit not a fair priced USB-C phone dock out there at the moment. This is going back, the phone dangles left and right, the only support for the phone is the connector, I expected the phone to rest and make full contact at the bottom. The angle is too narrow if you were planing on doing anything while the phone charges better hold on to the phone and secure it. I got a rather heavy phone and this gadget feels very light and fragile. This gadget could be number one with few modifications. At this time if you just want something to charge your phone and have the time to baby seat sit it while it charges then this is the right one to get.

I personally like this phone stand/charger for a couple of reasons. First off it has a really nice nonslip base and it has enough weight to hold whatever kind of device you have. Another reason I like it is because right at the base of the charger it has a little wiggle room to accommodate for different size devices/cases that may be on a phone. Like for example I am able to use my AirPods and put the case on this charging dock. The cable runs out a tiny channel in the back and stays very flat to the surface you put it on. Very nice addition to my set up.

I liked the idea of being able to use my charger and swap the cable out if necessary so ordered to try it. Very happy with the product as its well built and sturdy. The swivel angle has got the right amount of 'play' on it and it easily accommodates my Huawei P20 Pro with a medium-to-slim case. It can be a challenge placing it on the connector in limited light (I've got it next to my bed) but this is to be expected with a universal mount. I found the 1 metre cable a little short for my liking so I've ordered a compatible (hope so anyway!) from a certain auction site so may update the review to see how well it fits (it's all about the cylinder at the base of the USB 'C' connector). I'm so please with it that I'm about to order another one for my wife. Just one caveat, as there is no charger inside (which I like) it just makes this a little on the expensive side, however if it lasts then I'm more than happy to pay for the convenience it brings me.

So in the description as well as a few answered questions, it clearly says that this dock can be used with a phone that's in a case, but that was not the case for me. I had to open the dock up, remove the USB from the plastic and place it on top of the plastic it is meant to be clipped into. The dock can't be fully closed back together like this but the USB is a lot more higher up through the silicone for my phone to clip into. Not an ideal solution but it works I guess. I don't think there are many options out there in terms of docks that would be compatible with phones in cases but at least this one has a sort of work around.

It's a very good charging Dock in my opinion, but if I may say there is just one thing that bothers me: the charging port seems to be too tight on the charging cable. It has fast charge but to remove the phones from the Dock is always a fight. Since it is on the side table of my bed I was expecting it a bit like my wireless chargers, but grab and place. You literally need 2 hands to take the bloody phone of the Dock 😂😉

It's a good value it's actually quite sturdy. I use it to charge an iphone 7 and an iphone X and they are not wobbly or anything. It's silicone so it doesn't slip and it doesn't feel as cheap as if it was plastic. It's quite compact too. The only negative I had during ordering was that I have contacted the seller before they dispatched it to swap colours and I didn't get a reply. I could have just returned it but not worth the faffing.
