He was flexible and worked with my schedule (working from home) and accommodated my requests for the flow of the project. He and the team were very careful. I was fondly surprised at how well the team cleaned up after jobs (each trade did a great of cleaning up after their work was done). Blake led an organized team which made the flow of the project run smoothly. And most of all, he was so great to speak to as my dog and I were very happy to see him when he was on site. Home Front RenovationsProject was done to work with our schedule which was very helpful. Home Front team was responsive and took care of any items that came up without delay. They assist to solve any problems and Roman was great. He did almost out entire remodel and had worked on our previous remodel of kitchen and master bath. We highly recommend Roman. He was punctual, hard working, stayed on schedule and cleaned up daily before leaving. Home Front team did a very nice job for us again. Overall, they did a satisfactory job. It was very impressive that the project manager came every day to check on the crew and get status. The crew of 3 were very dedicated, hard workers. The biggest complaints that I have 1.) they did a very POOR job on my doors. The doors were painted RED. Any skilled painter should Know that it is recommended when using painting a white surface RED, you should prime with a light pink color so that you don’t have to do multiple coats. They estimated 2 and ended up doing 5 and charged an additional amount for the additional coat. I would highly recommend that 5 Star management re-train the estimators / painter leads on a.) Red Paint application and B.) How to paint and caulk doors (possibly spray paint versus by hand). Caulking work was messy. They used a roller on the flat surface of the doors and made a complete mess of them. One of the doors was brand new and now the surface is all bumpy. And streaks are showing through. The Project Manager attempted to make it right, but the doors were already messed up. Another coat would have made it worst. I would not allow this company to hand paint your doors and require they have them sprayed. Also, during the walk through, I had to point out many needed touch ups. I was very surprised by their reply (NO) when I asked whether the paint lead and/or PM went around to check prior to client having to point out all of the touch ups. I was planning to use 5 Star again to paint the cabinets in my office but I would hesitate at this time based on the paint job they did on the exterior doors.
