Great job done by a great team! Our 31 year old pool had never been refinished, and had major issues. We had both our pool and deck refinished. Five Star Pool did an awesome job on both! Victor was amazing. We needed urgent care on our pool to rehab it out of swamp status after a few heavy rains and some other unfortunate events after purchasing a new home recently.
Victor communicated every step of the way, often sending updates and photos and keeping us in the loop from day to day. He was very responsive to texts from me and patient with my questions (first time pool owner here).
Our experience with Victor really took the edge off an unpleasant situation and as a full-time working mom I really appreciate when a vendor can provide some peace of mind when so many other stressful events are happening from day to day.

Hive Outdoor Living saved us. Our gratitude towards this company is hard to put into words but we feel obligated to share our story. We were victims of a pool contractor who was paid 70% of the contract however abandoned our project after only completing 30% of it. Iâ ll spare the details but he left us in a horrifying financial position. We then vetted out several contractors to assess the state that our pool was left in. Ben Kelver (from Hive Outdoor Living) personally came to our home, sat at our dinner table and reviewed all the details with us. We held off our decision for several more months in hopes that our original contractor would finish job and complete his obligations. After 2 court hearings and countless broken commitments, we decided to move on from our original contractor. I then called Ben and he was very empathetic and understood our position as he never gave up on the opportunity to help us. We felt comfortable with Ben since the beginning, however trusting any contractor after our horrifying experience was a difficult decision and Ben did not let us down. He promised to have our pool 100% complete within 60 days and he beat that deadline. Ben went over and beyond to minimize our costs to finish the project. He passed much of his manufactured cost savings onto us when he easily couldâ ve capitalized on the profit opportunity. For example, he charged us wholesale pricing for the screen enclosure, pool heater, pump and automation system. Ben was and still promptly answers any and all questions we had and to continue to have as this is our first experience as pool owners. Our pool is amazing. Hive did a fantastic job at every aspect. We recommend Hive Outdoor Living to anyone and will continue to tell our friends and co-workers about our incredible experience if they should ever want a pool built. Thank you Hive. Thank you for your integrity. Thank for saving us.

Amazing! My family started the process with Joe, who met with us and creating our backyard oasis to fit exactly where and what we wanted. Joe was knowledgeable and was involved in our contract but not pushy!
Once under contract, I spoke and met Amanda, who is who I mostly dealt with after we were underway. Amanda was amazing as well and kept me up to do with what was happening next and more importantly when it was happening. They have sub contractors for the work which was nice because they didnâ t overbook or over promise their work. The sub contractors were very professional and courteous. I have heard a lot of horror stories from friends who have used other new pool construction companies, but this is not Hollywood!
If you are wondering how everything turned out...honestly AMAZING! The free form design turned out great and there was never a point where I asked a question about the process or wanted things done a certain way that was not handled appropriately. Be upfront and tell them what you want so everything is included in the plans. We are thrilled with the entire process and I would never suggest any other company!
Ron the owner has a great team working for him and they will definitely do the job with amazing quality!

I interviewed a couple of companies for this job. My pool had been in the ground for 30 years, its 25,000gallons. The plaster was coming off and had several leaks as well as a skimmer that become dislodged. Doug was prompt, exact and one of the BEST people I have met in the industry. Within 2 weeks of draining pool a new travatine tile pool deck and outdoor kitchen, new fountains and a pebble tec finish with 5g light show at a price that was fair. His total crew of hired sub's to his own office crew made it fun to do this project. If i needed to talk to Doug...5 mins and he was calling me back. I would recommend this company to any looking for a professional in St. Petersburg.

(5 stars) I found that Island Hopper Pools had serviced the pool prior to my moving in, being retired law enforcement I was skeptical about giving a key to access my yard/home to clean my pool. I hired Island Hopper Pools. I was not disappointed at all! It was three years he cleaned and maintained our pool I found Brian from Island Hopper Pools to be honest, reliable, and friendly and very fair. I moved and have a community pool now, but I highly recommend this gentleman, and Island Hopper Pools for your pool cleaning and Maintenance.

Jereme and Jamie Carter were a pleasure to do business with. We had the interior of our pool refinished because of a leak. We accepted their recommendation for tile and color.
We also had our deck completely refurbished with pavers and at their recommendation, extended the size of the deck to create a new patio area adjacent to our Florida Room.
Emilio and his work crew did an excellent job of installing the pavers. They had to demo and remove a portion of the concrete pool deck that had settled over time. They also removed grass and bushes in the new patio area. All debris from the demo was put into a dumpster they provided.
We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the project and highly recommend Carter Pools.

This company gave us great flexibility. We had our own tiles that we wanted to use for the waterline under the coping. They had no problem with us doing that, did the installation and took special care of the tiles as they are Premium Green ONYX, which has a tendency to break easily until installed.
Additionally, they always responded to my questions quickly, regardless of the day, time, or question. I call that "ABOVE AND BEYOND". IRONICALLY, THERE WERE 4 COMPANIES THAT WE CONTACTED REGARDING OUR JOB. I ma STILL waiting to hear from 2 of them, AND THE OTHER took too long to respond.
