You can definitely feel confident doing business with Issac (Shield Xteriors). I found him online while looking for someone to install concrete siding (James Hardie siding) on my gables of my log cabin. Issac got ahold of me quickly explained everything and set up a time to meet to go over the job. The bid was more than fair and after completion I couldn t be happier with how it turned out. The painting was done extremely well and very closely matched my log stain. Issac checked back with me on a regular basis to make sure I was happy and was satisfied with the work. Concrete siding IS NOT easy like vinyl siding it takes knowledge and skill to be done right. These guys specialize in James Hardie and let me tell you when you see the work you will understand what I mean. These are not fly by night subcontractors it is a family business and they care about their reputation. I already have another project for the garage for next year and I know who I will be calling for the siding... SHEILD XTERIORS. My husband and I, like so many others in our neighborhood, had hail damage to our roof in June, 2016. We must have had 5 or 6 companies come knocking on our door.
We heard about Fred Zykan from our neighbors who had their roof replaced about 2 years ago.
We called him and he came to talk to us about the damage to our roof. We were very comfortable with his approach to business and knowledge about home exteriors.
He is the 3rd generation of the Zykan family in business in the St. Louis/St. Charles area. We set up a date for the roof replacement. His team of workers completed the work in one day. We were impressed with their work ethic and efficiency.
Fred takes extra safety precautions to make sure the front of the house is covered with a tarp, so there is no damage to garage doors and windows, The cleanup was terrific. No mess left behind!!!
We are very satisfied with our new roof. After our roof was completed, at least four more nieghbors in our subdivision have had their roofs replaced. Thank you Fred Zykan for being an excellent and honest business man!!

We havd our windows installed throughout the entire home. A few months later notice one was cracked, in the basement, they quickly ordered and schedule to reinstall the replacement. Very kind and professional. We would hire them again.

It was frustrating that the manufacturer did not have the windows completed on time but this seems to be an issue for all companies.
The install crew were very professional and the 9 windows were installed on time. They did a good job of cleaning up the work area.

Kyle was very eager to get started. When I told him he got the job putting up Christmas lights he came right over and started and finished the job. When one strand of the lights did not work he came right over and fixed the problem. I will definitely use Kayla again for other projects and would certainly recommend him.

This crew is super punctual & reliable. With a full day of projects, Ande asked if 6:30am would be OK on the scheduled day. Sure enough they arrived a few minutes earlier than that.
