Viewing your repository's releases and tags

You can view the chronological history of your repository by release name or tag version number.

Tip: You can also view a release using the GitHub CLI. For more information, see "gh release view" in the GitHub CLI documentation.

Viewing releases

  1. On GitHub, navigate to the main page of the repository.

  2. To the right of the list of files, click Releases or Latest release. Releases section in right-hand sidebar

  3. At the top of the Releases page, click Releases.

Viewing tags

  1. On GitHub, navigate to the main page of the repository.

  2. To the right of the list of files, click Releases or Latest release. Releases section in right-hand sidebar

  3. At the top of the Releases page, click Tags. Tags page
