Mark Brand asked all of the right questions and worked tirelessly with the city permit department to make sure everything we wanted to do would be approved. Beyond being amazing on the phone with the city, his design fit with our mid-century home and anyone who has seen it is amazed at the transformation of our small back yard.
We started this project with Mark in 2019, long before COVID-19, and completed the major construction in October of 2020. The actual construction began in May 2020 with demo, to completion in October 2020. Mark and his staff were with us through the entire process, communicating with our Contractor and Pool installer and keeping everyone in the loop and on track. I had never worked with an architect before, and feel grateful that my first experience was with Mark Brand and his team. Fees are explained up front, and although the fees were a healthy part of our budget, I know I got what I paid for! Communication with email and phone calls, as well as site visits were always timely, with any issues explained and problems worked through and resolved to avoid delays.

Bay Metro did a good job to upgrade my 80yr old kitchen to current requirements.
They helped to keep the cost down and accommodated my quirks.
When surprises popped up, which is to be expected when you open up walls in these old buildings, they were good at explaining the situation and providing options.
Nothing is perfect, but they came close.

I was really happy with Anthony and his brother Tom. They are very professional and did exactly what they said they would do. Anthony fit me into the schedule that worked for me. I did get a couple of bids and one of them was less expensive, but the quality of the wood they wanted to use was more important to them than giving me the lowest cost. When I Reviewed the material costs, they ended up being just as competitive. I wanted it to look top-notch and it really does! Very very pleased with these guys. I would definitely use them again and have already given a couple of friends their name and number

We hired Shilpa to design an addition and remodel to our existing house in Fremont and we had a wonderful experience working with her. She listened and understood our needs, and designed the house of our dreams in the limited area that we had. She gave us many different design options in the beginning and made many revisions as per our requests. She even helped us with the city permit process and made revisions as per city requirements. The final result turned out beautiful, she used every inch of the space and the addition looks very much part of the original house. I am enjoying my beautiful house and get complements from everyone. I am very happy that I hired Shilpa and her team for my project and would definitely recommend her to others.

We sought to remodel our bathroom that was 25 years old and in bad condition. We found HomeTech on Angieâ s List and after interviewing other companies we decided to go with HomeTech. Their price was very competitive with the others. However, the more important aspect for us was the trust that we felt from Moses, the project manager from HomeTech. Another plus was the designer services which were not offered by all companies.
Everyone from HomeTech was very professional and experienced in their various domains.
The demolition took about 3 days; thereafter, the HomeTech team kept us informed about project schedule, availability of materials, potential delays, items needing additional work, and city inspections. We appreciated the quality of the construction, attention to detail, excellence of the workmanship, and the recommendations we've been given. They brought to our attention the poor condition of the pipes from 1938 that really needed replacement. HomeTech completed this part of the project, as well, providing us with new piping throughout the house.
Hometech has given us a dream bathroom, which undoubtedly has increased our house value.
Deserving of special mention are project manager, Moses; designer Alon; construction manager, Tino, with his crew of Miguel and Chef; and Victoria who kept all informed and coordinated.
We would definitely recommend HomeTech to anyone with a remodeling project.
