    We recently added a full master suite and a new retaining wall at ground level of our existing home. We interviewed several contractors and decided on Shenon Construction to build our addition. Tom Shenon is the principal owner and licensed general contractor of Shenon Construction. The estimated costs were reasonable and within our budget, and Tom worked with us to keep our costs down without sacrificing quality. More importantly, we felt a connection to Tom Shenon, as he is sincere and honest, but knowledgeable and professional in his approach to our needs. The work is now complete, and we are entirely pleased with the outcome of our new addition. Needless to say, the process of adding nearly 400 square feet to a structure, especially in Southern California, is a very complicated and detailed endeavor. There are many strict building and environmental regulations and permitting requirements set forth by numerous governmental entities, as well as homeowners association requirements that we had to navigate. The difficulty of getting through architectural planning, engineering, and city permitting was compounded during the COVID pandemic, but Tom and his design/architectural/engineering team did an excellent job to design our project and guide us through the processes and procedures necessary to complete the process timely and thoroughly. He is a competent contractor and knowledgeable in his field. He allowed us to select and purchase all owner-supplied fixtures and materials ourselves, or use his design and supplier team to obtain required items at the best prices. We used a mixture of contractor-recommended suppliers as well as obtaining our own selection of items based on our personal preferences. All of the subcontractors, project supervisors, and trade craftsmen were superb. They were courteous and respectful of our property, trustworthy, and extremely skillful in their trades. The craftmanship is amazing and resulted in a beautiful, comfortable addition. All the suppliers and subcontractors used by Shenon Construction went above and beyond to help us obtain needed items at reasonable prices in a timely manner. Based on the results of our project, we feel we definitely made the correct choice in Shenon Construction to complete our addition, and we consider Tom and all the craftsmen involved in our project to be long-term friends. We have no regrets, and we look forward to living in our lovely remodeled home

We are 75% done with our full house remodel and it’s been a pleasure working with them. Compared to other proposals they are a bit more expensive but you are paying for premium service and labor; there are no short cuts in work. There were multiple occasions where Tom and his crew went the extra mile and above and beyond, and were trustworthy and honest about work that deemed unnecessary or wasteful, which we appreciated since you’re investing thousands of dollars building your home.     My house was in shambles and required a full makeover. We also wanted to add a shower to the downstairs bathroom for my mom as she gets older and stairs are getting tougher. I got 6 estimates and most came back much higher than the one I received from US Home developers and their definitions of work to be provided was also very vague, and left a lot of room for additional fees. Belle gave me a very detailed contract outlining everything that would be done. Armando was our contractor and like Belle, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. The work was done very quickly and only took as long as it did because of wait times for material. Belle met with us a few times to shop for material and helped us through the design process which was very helpful because I was stressing out on this aspect. Armando made sure everything was the way I wanted it to be and was very flexible when it came to scheduling. At the end of job he even had all the junk in my backyard, which was a lot, picked up. I was so happy with the work they did downstairs that I decided to rehire them to do the upstairs. They even added roof replacement to the contract for an additional price that was much lower than the 4 other estimates I got. My house went from looking like it was straight out of an episode of Hoarders to looking like it’s straight out of a magazine. Couldn’t be happier

    I recently purchased a fixer, and I wanted to rebuild everything and to place it back in the market for sale. The project included removing all the interior up to the studs and to change also the layout so it will have a large open space and modern.I got 6 estimates when trying to find a contractor to do a large project, and this was my first sign that Oren and SOD Home Group were a step above all the rest. The other estimates came as a price estimate through a text message and via phone calls, and nothing more. Oren completed a full scope-of-work in the contract, while paying attention to my wants and needs for the work. He presented the 3D design contract in a branded folder with additional forms and instructions and went over it with me for several hours. Oren set the expectation of what materials I needed to purchase and what he would supply at the onset and pointed me toward where to purchase many high-quality materials at a good price. If I had questions about pricing or materials, he was available via phone, text or facetime to consult and let me know if I should purchase it or if he could find a better price for a similar product.Once the work began, it proceeded quickly and Oren handled all the coordination from start to finish. His wonderful teams were thorough and polite while on site, answering all my questions and taking my requests or suggestions into consideration. End result- the new house looks amazing! I couldn’t be happier. I’m a real estate agent so I work with a lot of different contractors and I can tell you most of them are horrible. SOD Home Group pays attention to the business and customer relations aspects, not only the work to be done, and that means a lot to me. I have, and will continue to, refer all my clients needing construction to SOD HOME Home Group

    We hired SOD Home Group for a full home remodeling, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Within a couple days of contacting them, Oren and his designer were at our house taking measurements and putting together all of their ideas. I think they came over 3 times for about several hours each, completely free before we approved and signed the project. The spent time and extra attention was THE main reason we felt good about moving forward with SOD Home Group.The overall process took longer than expected, but nearly all the delays were waiting on the city for permits or appliances delayed because of Covid.Each and every worker at the teams that came to the house wore masks and always laid out protective plastic and paper as to not damage any personal items. The workers were all super friendly and always cleaned up after each day.My wife and I changed our mind a few times throughout the remodeling, and it was always well received by Oren and the office staff. We even received a couple changes complimentary because Oren was so generous.Overall, we are beyond happy with the final remodeling product we got and our new home looks stunning and it has made the most used rooms in our house 100x more enjoyable to be in. When I called Creative Home Remodeling, Candy took the time to explain the process of restoration and refurbishing. Because of the pandemic, it took me a couple of months more to get back to them. Kris came out and also took his time explaining what was to be done and also carefully listening to what I would like to be done. His advice was very helpful.     I'm very disappointed. The people who operate the phones seem very professional, but the end product is not what I expected. Originally I requested a quote for a condo we lived at to redo a shower top to bottom. They verbally quoted me a little under $500, which was in line with a quote I received from another company. We then moved, so I called to confirm the quote amount for a shower and ask about a sink. We ultimately decided to go ahead with a shower stall, a tub & enclosure, and a kitchen sink. When he came out the technician tells me the price is almost double what I was quoted for both the shower and the tub. I told him to go ahead since the price is the price. I also had him put in a non-slip coat on one shower because it is smooth and super slick (we have a water softener). After he was done, it all looked great, we were so happy. But then a few hours later we noticed some grit or rocks that were embedded in the sink, and it looks like he simply sprayed over the caulk, which will be a problem. A few days later the sink began peeling (one spot was due to a pan that must've still had a hot spot after I poured cold water on it). We also realized both the shower and tub had pinholes all over the grout lines. I called the company, and the person on the phone said the pinholes shouldn't happen, they'll send someone out to fix it. She also said they would fix the sink peeling. Before they came back out, I slipped and fell in the tub, since the non-slip coat was almost a foot away from the back of the tub. A few days later I realized about 3 inches of the coat near the drain were peeling open. I'd waited more than 48 hours before first use, so it was clearly an installation defect. They sent the same technician back out, who said they couldn't do anything about the pinholes. I asked him to fix the non-slip coat, which he said he originally made too small because most people prefer it that way (bull). He fixed the sink, but he scrubbed a large area to prep it and then only sprayed a very small spot with whatever they use. It's very obvious where it was fixed because the small spot shines and the couple inches around it look dull. I'd imagine that in fairly short order the rough patch will discolor. The tech left without fixing the non-slip coat. I called the office to ask about that, and they told me he did exactly what their policy is by applying the non-slip coat 1.5 inches from all sides and the drain. I told the man on the phone it was a foot away from the back, so clearly he didn't do what they always do. He then sent the technician back to fix it, who apologized and said he simply forgot. It ultimately looks pretty unprofessional since you can easily see the technician freehanded the coating. I also deeply regret the sink. It would've been more cost effective to simply replace it. Having to treat it with kid gloves isn't my idea of a usable sink, and the price of resurfacing is most of the cost of a new (durable) sink. The company seems nice and professional but there's a mismatch between what they say they do and what the technician actually does. I also wasn't particularly pleased about the price difference but if everything went smoothly I would've gotten over it. The quality of the end product is disappointing.

    My experience was resurfacing a cast iron tub. Immediately after the job, I was informed that there may be lines in the tub due to dust settling. There were in fact lines, but the impressions didn't seem from dust. They were actually etched into the tub. The issues weren't properly handled from the get, and I was flexible with it. They sent the technician out to repair, and he did a poor job of repairing the lines in the tub. He tried saying it was dust settling and it'll take time. Karen was extremely rude over the phone, belittling and hung up on me when trying to discuss options to repair. She said that the lines could be imperfections from the tub, it's clearly not as posted on the photo. She just wanted to charge me for repair. The issue I have is their work wasn't completely properly from the get. I held off on calling them in this past year due to COVID. Their warranty is 2 years. I got the tub refinished on 5/1/2019 (invoiced on 4/25 but didn't render service until a week later. Karen was tripping out on me saying it's way out of warranty, today is 5/5/2021). I had a "repair" completed on 5/14/2019 Called back on 5/5/2021, technically 4 days out of warranty but it has not been 2 years since the actual repair (5/14/2019). Prices were reasonable, but the saying goes you pay for what you get. I would highly consider sending business elsewhere due to the lack of professionalism, and experience with their tub resurfacing

    Matthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math).
