Gibson's Grading And ConstructionDavid 's work is outstanding. He provides high quality products and outstanding customer service. Prior to starting the work he did an estimate. The cost of the finished project was the exact cost of the estimate. As the work involved digging in the front lawn he was extremely careful around all the plants and trees. He dug up drain pipe from a 58 year old system. There were places along the drain trench where he needed to cut buried roots and removed buried rock. He was extremely careful with all aspects of his work. David is a true craftsman. He is honest, reliable and professional. He is extremely knowledgeable in the areas of drainage and how to control and /or prevent future drainage problems. He demonstrated excellent communication skills in describing, in non-technical terms, his assessment of the problem and how the work would be accomplished. We were so happy with the quality of his work that we ask him to put us on his schedule for the Fall to replace another drain line. We found David on Angie's List. I had to work, so I didn't see him in person, but he took pictures and sent me daily emails with updates without my even asking. Despite my not having been apart of the process, I feel confident that the work was done well. Gibson's Grading And ConstructionOverall it went great and as planned without any surprises. We had previously used Gibson Grading a year prior to fix our upper and lower drive with some grading and putting down crushed rock. This time we had to redo the upper because of severe rain, rutting and drain pipe clogging. David brought at least 2 loads of gravel and resurfaced the top drive and used a heavier rock this time which we all thought was a good idea. We're very pleased with David's work and would definitely hire again. It's good to now have a good go to guy in the instance we need some work done. Very responsible and reliable. Would definitely recommend.- John M.

Gnarling TreeThey did a beautiful job on everything. They have been very reliable and even had a worker come over and turn on the drip system while we were gone. They saved a locust tree that was bug infested. They have done whatever has been needed to be done and they have not been pushy. My budget was high as I wanted a certain number of mature specimen plants and Ryan has a wonderful eye for beauty. I gave Ryan a budget and we came in within 5% of my set price and the increase was because of me and not L-N-O. I pride myself on educating myself about the plant life wherever I live. Ryan helped me to learn so much more and he brought me some of the most beautiful specimen plants and trees. He has an exceptional eye. He was quick to offer suggestions without that kind of bossy "I know best" attitude and then follow my lead. And he never condescended as he taught me the latin names of the plants he brought to my home for my approval. OK, Ryan is the lead guy here and he is a prince. Courteous, respectful, proud of his work and just simply a good and fair man. But he was not always here, as he had to bid and quote many other jobs during the installation, but he did not need to be here every minute. His crew is top notch and his foreman is a man to be trusted. They worked hard and well together whether Ryan was here or not and they paid attention to me as I imagine you can guess, I kept my eye on them all. But don't get me wrong, Ryan was here daily to be certain all was well and I was satisfied and often he worked side by side with his men like a Trojan. The result is that I have a wooded hillside unlike anyone's I have seen in Asheville. Guests mouths drop open when they come here. Everything is thriving and I walk my dogs morning, noon and night through a beauty that is both complex and easy. I have never regretted choosing L-N-O over the other local companies I interviewed. David came to see what I wanted done, needed a unique retaining wall built, terrace created and it was created even better than I thought it could ever be....wonderful ideas, always communicating because I was seldom there...completed exactly on time...no additional time needed nor was there more costs past his initial estimate for the job. David is very knowledgeable with regard to water run off and/or problems, permanent drains, graded the road....I could not be happier. Matthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math).
