Uninstalled but still code in website

    Hello,

    I am doing some maintenance on a website and the website auditing software I am using says all pages on the website have 404 error by this link https://s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js 404

    The website was built around 2015 and SEO’d by another company the addthis plugin was disabled and I have deleted it but there is still code in the website on every page even though there is no plugin is no longer installed.

    I checked around the template settings in the admin area and widgets but can’t see any extra code.

    I seen in code the addthis was unique to the footer so I used filezilla ftp opened then footer.php and deleted the code block for addthis and then reuploaded the file and problem is solved.
