The structure that our provider made is just lovely. It is elegant and much stronger and pleasing than the previous structure. This was a project that others had turned down. It was too small a job for contractors and too big a job for our local handyman. We are grateful that Herb agreed to tackle it. He is meticulous in getting a project done right. We are very pleased with the finished results. The only difficulty was that we had to help quite a bit to bring the project in on time. Some of that was because the project was more difficult than any of us imagined and it took more effort than one person could do. That said, my husband and I were quite willing to do that. I think Herb would do good work on any project, but for those heavy manual projects, I would recommend making sure there is an assistant or volunteering to assist him. Again, we are super happy with the end product! p.s. Cost of project includes materials.

This was the WORST service ever. This guy was to repair my storm door and fix the loose outlet. He only repaired the storm door. I attempt to pay with my credit card, but he said, he did not accept credit card, so he followed me to the nearest ATM to pay him for the storm door repairs, I paid him $220, and ask for a receipt, he said, " I got you" I figured he will get me the receipt once he completed the work, which was the outlet. He was scheduled to return the on a week later, Nov 1st to complete the work. He showed up only to tell me he had a another job, bigger than mine, and he will not be able to finish my project, but can complete the rest of the project for free on the following weekend. I told him, I did not want him to work for free, I needed the work done on that day and done right. I don't believe in freebies. I drove 60 miles to meet with him to complete this job, and he knew that. I again asked for a receipt repeatedly, and I have text messages on this, but he has avoided my text messages.. I have reported this to HomeAdvisor, but no resolution. Also, he flirted with me, but I told him I don't mix business with pleasure. I have text messages to prove this from a google number, which is/was using, so avoid the tracking of his transitions with women customers. SINGLE WOMEN BEWARE!!

Paul knows construction and works to best practice and knows and understands all codes. (He has a good and loyal crew.) He worked well as a team player with my structural engineer and with county building inspectors. Gives a lot of attention to special details and is very neat and organized. The dining room was a long project April to October and was plagued by the unusual spring and summer rains of 2011. They developed a tarp system to keep working and shelter our home. The crawl space at our house is horrible so those guys deserve a medal. Can handle an entire house, or come by and replace my hot water heater (last month) or re-do a bad contactors' heating/ducting job. Came on time and stayed on task 99% of time. Good communication skills. When something goes wrong, my first thought is to call Paul. Don't need speed dial as his number is memorized. If you watch Holmes on Homes on HGTV you will think Paul is his brother.

Jeff arrived at 0800 per appointment and was ready to start. He took a quick look at the old storm door and the new storm door. He was able to remove the old storm door in about five minutes. We discussed installation of the new door and he verified I wanted the door handle on the opposite side of the previous door. That entailed some extra work for him but he seemed pleased to do it. After installation was complete he asked if I wanted the pneumatic closer attached and mentioned some people like to skip it. That was a good call on his part because I really like it better without the auto-closer. Then it was on to the hinges. He assessed the problem quickly, but didn't call me a doofus for installing part of the hinge upside down. All things said, it was a pleasure doing business with this company and would hire them again.

One of our windows had developed a leak, and I'd spent weeks caulking, testing, and trying to eliminate potential causes. Given that our building is rather tall, the window is difficult to reach, and it's generally unpleasant to work on, I called Mark to help. He came out promptly and brainstormed with me on potential causes. With a strong storm only days away, we decided that he should hit any gaps in the siding which I might have missed. Having stared at the problem for too long, I clearly didn't see several potential problem areas which Mark quickly found. I'm pleased to say the torrential rains which followed resulted in a significantly reduced leak - barely a few drops when compared with the substantial flow during much weaker storms. Once it dries out a bit more, I'll go back over it again to look for any remaining areas needing attention.

This is my third time using Richard and his quality of work is excellent. The high wind storms took down several sections of my fence. New fence posts, top and bottom rails had to be replaced. Richard was great with recommending to re-use the fence slats that were still in good condition and only replace those that were rotted, to save money. The wind storms in the bay area were horrific and everyone's fences were tumbling down. I called Richard, he went to the home to assess and quote the project and was able to start and complete 4 days later. The fence looks amazing, looks brand new, and the quality is fantastic. A really good handyman with great work ethics is hard to find. With Richard it is all about quality and I love that about him. Good old fashioned man with good old fashioned values and ethics. I highly recommend him.
