Our washing machine broke on Tuesday and Otto's was able to send a repair man out the following morning. The appointment was for anytime between 1-4p and the repair man showed up early. He called ahead of time to find out if coming early was an inconvenience and of course it was not. He was professional, knowledgeable and was able to make the necessary repairs in about 20 minutes. I will never call another repair service. Excellent work.

I called for an apt and got a window of 10-1. Otto showed up promptly at 10, which was great because I didn't have to wait around all day. He was pretty honest about the machine costing more to repair with the bearing plus the labor. I was better off buying a new washer. Originally, I had called Sears because the washer is a Kenmore, but they couldn't come out till 7 days later! YIKES! I called Bay Appliance Tuesday morning and they were able to come out the next day. Awesome. I would use them again if any other appliance acts up.

This service was the absolute worst. In the period of six weeks five differen technicians came out and half of them did not order what they were supposed to order, the parts did not come when they were supposed to come. We talked to a representative from that company and they said they would send a check for around 50 dollars to cover laundry mat services and that never came. The whole process has been absolutely horribe. The final guy that came out to fix it, took less than ten minutes, so it was a waste of our time and their time. The guys were professional, but the quality was poor. The last guy that came out during the six weeks was fine.

They have sent repairmen out 3 times to fix the dryer and each time they can't figure out what's wrong or how to correct it. The technicians have been very nice, but I think for as much money as I spent on the dryer that I shouldn't be having this trouble. The worst part is that when you call in for a service call, it takes 1 1/2 to 2 weeks to get an appointment. Their repair service is terrible.

He does not only fix the rpoblem, but he explains how or why the problem occurred; if and how you can repair the problem on your own; and the repair is done immediately or withing 24 hours (if parts needed). LP has repaired a refrigerator, oven, and dryer. quickly and efficiently. And then to add to his professionalism and service, he will call you in 2 days to ensure that the repair is satisfactory. Old school service is hard to come by these days!

Any Appliance Repair
On May 9, 2006, I hired Any Appliance Repair to fix the Jenn Air refrigerator at my house. Luis Maldonado, the owner, showed up and was given authorization to fix the refrigerator. While he was fixing the refrigerator, he broke a glass shelf in the freezer. As I was not in the room when he broke the shelf, he told me about it when I returned and he was finishing up. He told me he had broken the shelf in the kitchen sink while he was attempting to clean the ice off of it with hot water. He agreed to replace the shelf. I paid him $160 for the service and he left. Later that night, the occupants of the home, (my clients) discovered that there was broken glass that had been swept under the refrigerator, as well as broken glass throughout the freezer and mixed in among the food. Clearly, the shelf had been broken inside the freezer and Mr. Maldonado lied to me about it. By not telling the truth about where he broke the shelf, Mr. Maldonado put the residents of the house in serious danger. The broken glass that had been swept under the refrigerator could have caused serious injury to the 3-year old child in the house, had we not discovered it. Furthermore, the broken glass in the freezer was very dangerous and forced the disposal of a number of food items. At the time of the breakage, Mr. Maldonado agreed to replace the broken shelf. Over a month later, and after I was forced to pursue him relentlessly, he finally delivered the shelf. However, it was incomplete, missing a trim piece. He said he would order it. I followed up with him numerous times and he kept making excuses. Finally, after another month had gone by, I went online and ordered the trim piece myself for $19. It arrived 3 days later. Mr. Maldonado showed complete disregard for good customer service or service recovery. His outright lie could have caused serious harm to a small child. Had Mr. Maldonado told the truth from the start, I would have asked him to clean up the glass and would have chalked it up to a mistake that anyone could make. However, now, having hurt my reputation with my clients and never being reimbursed by Mr. Maldonado for the broken part I paid for (despite repeated requests,) all I can do is warn others not to use this business. Although this happened two years ago, I just joined Angie's List and since I still have the documentation of the incident in my legal file, I thought I would post it now. It's never too late to warn others.

Recent Review: I called around 6pm on Monday, and they were able to come the next day at a time that was convenient for my wife and toddler. This was a repair in my father-in-laws house, and since he was out of town, we were handling this repair. They worked around my son's nap schedule, which was extremely helpful. While I was not the one present for the repair, my wife said they showed up on time and called her about 15-20 minutes before they arrived, which was very helpful since my wife had to drive 5 minutes from our apartment to my in-law's house. They put in a new thermostat. Since the refrigerator had a lot of mildew, we had to clean it out before turning it on to make sure it worked. After cleaning, we turned on and it still did not work properly- would turn on but after a while would not work, but they came out again, the very next day. There was no extra charge for the second visit- which beat my expectations. Once again, they really couldn't verify the repair since the fridge was full of mildew. I would use them again.

Super Service Award Recent Review: Found that my AC just stop working. Called Duke and got the schedule 2days later. on that day, Duke is really on time, arrived my home within the time slot we set. He is really professional and handful; quickly checked that there is a broken capacitor. Replaced the unit in 10mins; and the AC back on-line! Also check the refrigetor liquid for me.
