We have been working with Todd Willoughby since early in 2018. We had purchased a piece of land along the Chesapeake Bay and wanted to build a small but thoughtfully designed contemporary garden cottage for our retirement. After speaking with a number of architects we chose Todd and we have been very happy with that decision. Over several months, we worked have closely with him through the several design phases, culminating in a very complete set of construction documents, that we are now using for bidding. Throughout the process, we have found Todd to be personable, smart, perceptive and creative. He has been able to translate our ideas into working drawings that one of the contractors noted was called the most detailed he has ever seen. Todd has captured our vision for an environmentally friendly house with solar and rainwater harvesting. We have met with him many times talk through the many details, choices, and constraints you inevitably face. He has done all the coordination needed with the other specialties the engineers, surveyor, and solar energy firm. Having enjoyed this first part of the collaboration, we are hiring Todd to help us through the bid evaluations and construction admin phases. The best recommendation would be our actual house, but until we get there we can say Todd has done an excellent and professional job getting us this far, and we look forward to working with him through to a completed project.

Ricardo Hendi is a great architect that delivers a timely, quality product on a timeline. More importantly, for us he proved adept at navigating DCRA when we needed him most. A lot of architects can draw up plans, but to go the next step and navigate the DC bureaucracy to ensure approvals, oversee construction and bring the whole project to fruition is a gift. We are forever in his debt for helping us convert our home into a two unit, rentable property. I strongly recommend Ricardo without reservation and would work with him again should the opportunity arise.

Scott is one genius architect, super helpful, very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He's always there for you. He designed a home addition for us which turned into a landmark by so many onlookers. It's not easy project given the existing awkward design of the split-level. But he made it possible inside out. He's super thoughtful and pays close attention to every single inch of details. We're super happy with Scott's work and can't speak highly enough about him and his work. We absolutely recommend.

Because Ardeku provides architecture and general contracting services, they successfully transformed my 70's style Rambler, into into an open design with three bedroom suites. Vladimir's design concept not only increased the useable square footage, it aesthetically enhanced space functionality. For example, the master bedroom and family room renovations included large picture windows and access to the backyard patio. Not only were the rooms renovated to accommodate their intended purposes, the design was able to leverage the home exterior as an extension to the entertainment space. His professional expertise transitioned my kitchen from a 10'x 10' cramped space into a 20'X15' designer kitchen. Cindy is the owner/founder/GC builder for Curtis Ventures and we met her through a spec home she built. What stood out from her built home was the quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail, absolute genuine care and we could tell a vested interest. She was responsive, picked up on what we wanted without question, has fantastic connections around Arlington County to get permits on time and inspections done.Her team of subcontractors are top-notch from landscapers to masons to electricians to the carpenters to tile guys and lighting specialists-- everything. It made everything go so smooth and so quick. We just moved in about a month ago. Cindy herself is on-site every day for the job which is unusual. She is not spread thin like most builders and works at the same time and makes sure everything is taken care of. How she treats her subcontractors is outstanding, for example she established a Friday tradition where she provides food, lunch, and treats for her team and everyone else on site -- makes a big difference in a detail job from top to bottom. She was here at 7 am and didn't leave until the last contractor left every day.

I have dealt with many architects before and gotten what I thought was good service. However after dealing with Eustilus Architecture I now have a new bar by which to judge others. Whether it be dealing with me on my time frame, which was late at night lots of time due to my work schedule, or taking phone calls out of the blue because I had a sudden inspiration. Or dealing with my general contractor and making sure everything is being built to exact specifications, and on time, Eustilus Architecture has gone beyond what most people would even be willing to think of doing and they did it all with a smile on their face. My new home is almost complete and I wouldn t have been able to do it without them.
And on top of all of that they can design ANYTHING! They designed my home with a pool on the roof! They dealt with my GC, concrete companies, structural engineering, the office of zoning, I mean everybody. I guess the best way to sum this up is that they have been so involved and helpful and professional that now my oldest daughter wants to become an architect. I m not sure there is a greater compliment that I could pay them then to know they influenced her.

Mr. Kabbani arrived when promised. We needed a determination whether a particular wall was load bearing before renovating a bathroom. Ayad is very patient, professional and knowledgeable. He didn't rush things at all and really took the time to check the house and educate me and my husband. He checked the house throughout including the basement, crawl space, attic, foundation, outside, etc. and he answered all of our questions. We were purchasing a home and during the inspection a very expensive structural issue was discovered. The seller agreed to fix and hire a licensed contractor for the repairs.
6 Days before closing the seller's contractor performs the repairs. I arrive at the job site 90 minutes after scheduled start to review the progress and no one is at the site. To my surprised, there are a few cosmetic repairs to hide the damage and other locations no work was even performed.
I took pictures, a video and contacted my agent to ask what's going on. Late that evening I'm informed the seller and their contractor are saying all repairs are complete.
5 Days before closing, I'm scrambling for an experienced and licensed structural engineer to review the work performed and advise if repairs resolved structural issue.
After spending half a day googling, researching reviews and calling engineers, I come across Bob. Bob was already booked out till mid afternoon Friday (We are closing Monday). So I schedule an appointment.
Thursday morning, I reach out to Bob to see to see if there was anyway possible, if he could squeeze us in today. Lucky for us he had a cancellation and was able to make it out early afternoon.
Bob arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and had a very professional demeanor. Our agent and the sellers agent was on-site while Bob performed the inspection and handled the bombardment of questions from the seller agent like an experienced pro.
Bob quickly assessed that the repairs were cosmetic and did not resolve the structural issue. He was able to communicate in common language what was needed to properly repair the problem and provided a written report a couple days later.
From start to finish our experience with Bob has been fantastic and would highly recommend.
FYI: The bids coming from qualified contractors to repair the structural problems are exceeding 20k.
Thank you Bob for saving us from a nightmare.
