We started with a simple project to remove stairs that were in our kitchen that led to a den which we were now making a closet and moving the entrance to our master bath. That led to us redoing the master bath, the bedroom, the kitchen, the closet, etc. Every time we added on, it was not an issue. From construction, to flooring to tiling to painting, every worker that entered the house was excellent and professional. I referred JBL to a good friend of mine after.- Bill H.

Gikas Painting, Roofing and RestorationThe work was nothing short of amazing. The roof replacement took only one day and once completed Niko made certain the work was perfect but that every nail and piece of debris was carted away. The stucco was repaired, followed by the exterior paint job and gutter and leader replacement. Every aspect of the job was monitored by Niko who was constantly present to address our questions or concerns. Waxtel LLCDave responded quickly to our ad and set up a time to look at the space. From the start, it was clear he was a professional who knew what he was doing. We knew what we wanted and he easily envisioned it and helped us with details. He got us on his schedule right away and the building of the materials started immediately. He was in touch with us throughout the process, so we always knew what stage the project was in. Things moved quickly and we were always able to reach Dave with any questions and he was very quick to respond. The installer was professional and very detailed oriented. He added little touches to make the project even sleeker. He wasn't satisfied until everything looked perfect. The end result is a unit that looks completely natural in the room. Top Woodwork was a real joy to work with from beginning to end. The team was responsive, very accommodating of design changes (even of changes that were result of my mistakes), and just meticulous when it came to fabricating and installing. The job was for a small Manhattan kitchen, and the team really maximized every square inch with storage. Their precision and care for details absolutely put the project's general contractor to shame. The team at Top Woodwork –– Nydia, Brandon, and Carlos –– were also really pleasant to work with, which is a nice plus. Overall very pleased with their work, and would recommend to architects and homeowners without reservation.

I can't speak highly enough about the team at New Generation. We did a mini kitchen renovation, backsplash, counters, new lighting fixtures and paint. The team was fabulous. The carpenter hand crafted new window sills to match previous sills and brackets to support our extended island. He is meticulous with his work. The electrician was very knowledgeable and helped us with our lighting lay out. The painter was so precise, he did an amazing job covering the holes the previous lights left, my ceiling looked brand new. They are great workers, but we got many quotes and their pricing was more then fair and reasonable. I highly recommend and would use them again. They've done work for many friends in the area and no one has any complaints. William is really responsive as a project manager and very knowledgeable especially with older homes.

These people are AWFUL and completely wasted my time, I claimed the 8 hour deal 7/13/2021, and told them I had one tall wall that needed to be repainted the same color, they insisted on coming out and giving an estimate, we scheduled for the next day 7/14/2021 at 12:00pm, at 12:50pm they were a no show, I called and they said “you are scheduled for 4:00pm, I knew that was untrue, because my daughter just had a baby and I plan on being at the hospital by then, and the hospital stops taking visitors at 8:00pm, I said “are you sure you will be there by 4:00pm?” and explain that my daughter just gave birth and the hospital hours, they said yes we will be there at 4pm, it’s 4:50pm they are a no show and they didn’t call or answer when I called them, why, why, why are people in this industry so awful!?!?!? A simple phone call could have prevented this entire issue!

Do not hire this man - Jonathon Powers with Powers Performance Construction (Originally from Brooklyn, now in North Carolina). He is a con man. He will sell you a bag of goods and look slick in the beginning, but then he will beg for money the whole way through and then run for the hills the second the job gets difficult. He could not problem solve his way out of a paper bag! Just to name a few problems from his last job with us; water is still coming into the house, poor workmanship, did not pay attention to important details, says he is going to do one thing and then does something completely different, put baseboards back on and decided to not install the electrical outlets (just left them out completely), took months more than what he said to finish the job and never finished, took the last check and ran, job was not even near completed - the list is endless. Oh, and did I tell you about his temper. He will not guarantee his work and you will never see him again. Trust me, when I say there are other much better choices and you would be wise to "run" the other way!
