The crew carefully masked surfaces, repaired door cracks, and patched some cabinet damage. Excellent paint finish on cabinets with no overspray. Especially pleased they were able to replace our original, hard-to-find custom cabinet hinges with new soft-close hinges that work perfectly. Marcin led the painting effort aided by Gregor, who helped with the hinge replacement. Reasonable price with excellent work quality.- Richard N.

BUILT-WELL BUILDERS, LLCIt went extremely well and we LOVE our newly renovated and constructed home! Keith was the general contractor for a 2 story 800 sq. ft addition plus renovations. He has a great group of people doing the work (masons, carpenters, tiles, plumbers, electric, etc.) and truly all of them did excellent work and were a pleasure to deal with. This is a contractor who is as honest as the day is long. Furthermore, you know things will change at some point and he was awesome at addressing changes/issues and gets things resolved. We interviewed several companies and we are so glad we chose Keith, his son Grant, and Built-Well. We have some more work to be done, and we will be bringing them all back to do it. Design & Construct ContractingI have had the pleasure of benefiting from Jacob's amazing work for over four years. Jacob has done just about everything for me and my family from making custom furniture pieces (desks, storage drawers and most recently a custom headboard) to general handyman services (repairs, hanging art work, curtains) to the obscure (helping to safely remove a a bird's nest out of my daughter's A/C unit). Jacob is truly a jack of all trades! His custom wood pieces are top knotch and it never ceases to amaze me and how he can produce just beautiful pieces with just a sketch or a photo of the item I want him to produce. I recommend Jacob a thousand percent! OZ General Contracting Co IncWe could not be happier with the work done by OZ. We’ve done countless home renovations over the years and the level of professionalism, attention to detail and attentiveness we got from OZ were unmatched. The design that was done by Uzi (owner) and Lori (designer) was an easy, flexible, and enjoyable process. The level of customer service we received from Mike (the PM) was something we never before experienced. To call him just a project manager is a vast understatement. He checked in nearly every day to keep us abreast of the project status and showed us in detail what work was happening and why. When we had design decisions his considerable experience was invaluable. When the team was shorthanded due to Covid, he put on kneepads and did the work to keep them on track. He never forgot a single item that we discussed and made it unnecessary for us to keep our own punch list. All of this is great but what matters most is the final product and this is where OZ shined. Caesar (crew leader) and his team had impeccable attention to detail and never took a single shortcut. They completely redesigned our kitchen, updated our den, built us a new custom fireplace, installed several new windows and replaced nearly half of the floors in our house. Several months later it is still impossible to find any issues. Everyone who came to our house was polite, professional, and patient with our questions. As far as we could tell they all worked for OZ and none were subcontractors. The cabinets are built here on Long Island by folks who support families on the Island. When they did hit installation issues, the cabinet builders themselves came to the house to resolve them! When friends come over to check out the work, they are consistently amazed and can’t stop complimenting the project. Anyone who has done even a few home projects will realize how rare this all is. We’ll never do another remodel with anyone but OZ. Great work guys!!- Dan S.

National Home ImprovementsA few years ago, we bought a house in Monmouth Beach. We felt that the house needed painting so we had it painted. Two years later paint again began peeling and we decided to have siding put on. We wanted Hardie Board because of the reviews this material had gotten. We contacted three contractors to do the work. All three were impressive. We decided to go with National Home Improvement for a few reasons. Ralph was very positive about what he does. We checked reviews and saw pictures of his work. He was always available. All you had to do was leave a message and he would get back to you shortly. His price for the job was more reasonable than the others. The work started pretty much on time. The work looks beautiful. We have a new house. Ralph’s enthusiasm was real. Whenever we needed to contact him during the work period, he was always available. Brian the plumber, Mike the electrician, and Mike the crew chief did great work along with everyone else. The people who did the new gutters and leaders did a great job. We redid the wooden floors inside and they turned out great. These were all people that worked with Ralph. Don’t think that aren’t problems when you have work done. There are. The key to a good contractor is how these problems are solved. The best way I can tell you how Ralph handled everything is that is if we need more work done we would hire Ralph and National Home improvement again.- Arno R.

The team was responsive, very accommodating of design changes (even of changes that were result of my mistakes), and just meticulous when it came to fabricating and installing. The job was for a small Manhattan kitchen, and the team really maximized every square inch with storage. Their precision and care for details absolutely put the project's general contractor to shame. The team at Top Woodwork –– Nydia, Brandon, and Carlos –– were also really pleasant to work with, which is a nice plus. Overall very pleased with their work, and would recommend to architects and homeowners without reservation.
