DISCOUNT RENOVATIONS
Discount Renovations, Shane, was a huge mistake. I would have completed this review in September, 2020 when the work was supposedly completed but there were major problems. He took down a double garage that was beyond repair, and stated he could replace it with a single door, and enclose the other half since I didn't need a double door. The door was installed but would not go up and down properly. Shane made two trips back to look at the door, and never corrected the problem. He told me if he had to make another trip I would be charged. With that said I was not going to pay him more money for work half done. So here in January of 2021 I called a professional garage door company to work on the door. The door that Shane installed didn't even have the correct track. There was nothing to do except tear his junk out, and put up a new door with a cost of $2,600. He did do other projects at the house which included a new hot water heated, well tank bladder, reworked the front door to open and close, replaced the rear door, a few feet of crown molding, removed a three foot divider in the kitchen, and a small amount of drywall repair. He charged me $14,000. At that time there was some code violations with the county and I needed to get work done. Shane took full advantage of that situation. Looking back, I should have paid any penalties to the county until I could have gotten a professional plumber and carpenter. Using professionals would have probably saved me $4,000 to $6,000 and I certainly would not have had to pay an additional $2,600 to have the job done right.

Terry's work is impeccable. He is the cleanest too! He cleans up every day during the job, so there is no sawdust or anything left behind. The crown moulding above the kitchen cabinets is beautiful...every corner is perfect. When he added the new base cabinet, he found one at a salvage store, which saved money over having him build it from scratch. Then he installed a new back panel so you cannot tell it was an addition. The tile backsplash is beautiful and again, everything was done to perfection and cleaned afterwards. He also has great suggestions and ideas if you are unsure how to finish something. He communicates beautifully by email and/or telephone, is always on time and completely dependable.

They showed up on time and worked very efficiently, painting the exterior trim and replacing several trim boards that had been damaged due to natural weathering. Recent Review: The salesman and installer we very helpful in explaining what they would do and how to improve cabinet space. They manufactured an upper corner cabinet to recover lost storage area. The pots and pans drawers are great. Lower cabinets were modified for better access to hard to get to space. It was a 3 day installation. Entry ways were covered to contain the dust and wood floors covered to prevent damage. The crew was very polite and answered all questions. After the installation of the corner cabinet we decided a glass door would look better than a wooden one. The installers ordered it and put it in the same day it arrived. We were very pleased by the quality of workmanship. The transformation was amazing. I would recommend this company. I put pictures on Facebook and got rave reviews on the transformation.

Super Service Award Recent Review: Simply terrific hardworking crew. They started at 9am as promised and finished at 3pm. Amazing! The 5 man crew never stopped working. The foreman spoke English very well and was extremely polite. I was so impressed with their work ethic! The scheduler was very accommodating. I had to wait a little longer to get the work done on a Saturday, as I wished, but it was well worth the wait. Their pricing was competitive, and in fact, they included some upgrades that another contractor I got a bid from wanted extra money for. My neighbors used Home Fix first and they were so pleased with them, as am I. I certainly would recommend them highly and am, in fact, going to use them again, to install a new kitchen sliding door and screen.
