Golden Landscapes IrrigationI hired Golden Landscapes Irrigation to repair the irrigation system at our Nashville, TN rental property including replacing a cracked back flow preventer, installing a new irrigation timer and rain sensor, and testing the system to insure it was working correctly. Mr. Williams came to our property on 07-07-2021 to perform this work, for which I paid $1,639.25 (exceeding estimate). The job was never finished and Mr. Williams (business owner) attempted to defraud me by 1) installing an old back flow preventer that he spray painted to look like a new piece of equipment 2) equipment leaked, was not installed per code, was not the brand that my invoice stated was installed (I paid for a new Apollo back flow preventer and discovered an old Wilkins brand back flow preventer was installed) 3) charged me $135 for a new rain/freeze sensor that was not installed and 4) he never allowed for sufficient time to finish the job thus requiring multiple visits to our property and multiple "service charges" for each visit. I contacted Mr. Williams and his wife and neither will return my correspondence.- Sarah A.

Campbell IrrigationOwners Son answered my call and came out to see what I had late Friday afternoon around 3:30pm. He and I discussed the issues and he said he would like to try and fix it today right then. No price discussed or contract signed. I told him it was late on a Friday afternoon and it could wait until Monday. He insisted on trying. He tried and was not confident that he had it fixed when he left saying he would return in the morning to check it and see if fixed. Saturday morning Owners Son returns and cannot fix the leak. I asked to speak to the Owner so Mr. Campbell came out. He was negative about the situation from the get go. Anyone that knows me understands that I have the money to pay and fix things. Rather than give me a solution and a price to get there I listened to all the things that could go wrong. Give me a price to fix it and do what you advertise you do! I pulled a price per hour out of him but not before he began asking for payment on the failed attempt to fix the problem. You see where this is going. This guy had an opportunity to make a good amount of money fixing my irrigation problem but rather chose to complain about having to pay his son for three hours of wasted labor and parts at an attempt to fix something that I had no price quote for at the time. UNBELIEVABLE. Bad business Mr. Campbell. I am a fair man and would pay when you had achieved the goal and proceed with fixing what your son started. You could have quoted the fix and covered your expenses there. Instead you ruin my yard and weekend. I hope you have a good attorney.- Greg R.

Recent Review:
The initial quotes for the landscaping work was $5,630.00. The initial quote for the irrigation work was $1,670.00 with the proviso that there may be additional repairs needed that were not readily apparent in the initial inspection. The landscaping work needed was straightforward. My instructions on the irrigation repairs were to change all existing pop-up spray heads from 4" to 6" and to insure that there was coverage of the entire yard. The irrigation repairs were to be completed prior to starting the landscaping, so the new and existing landscaping would be irrigated from day 1. I was pleased with their work, particularly the landscaping work; We added installation of two pallets of sod in areas that need the grass to be renewed. However the irrigation system work was not adequate to give coverage to the entire yard and the 4" pop-up spray heads in one zone were not replaced with 6" heads. Additional money was approved for them to perform that work. I have spent a total of $10,980.00 with Green Scene for the work performed. Due to problems with irrigation coverage of certain landscaping areas, much of the new sod died and five of the new shrubs have died. My yard has never been in such bad shape The primary problems that I experienced with Green Scene was communication and follow-up. The only time I heard from Green Scene was in response to messages from me I was given dates for staring work that were not met and no notice was given. I will likely have to hire another irrigation contractor to get my irrigation system working properly.

They were professional, did exactly what they said they would do, started within the window of what they quoted, completed the work quicker than quoted (1 week!) and had the best price of everyone I quoted. They cleaned up everything and left the area ready to use. As with anything, there are a couple of concerns that I voiced and Todd did not hesitate in offering a solution. I have some landscaping work I need and will certainly consider Earthscapes for the work.
