As a sale rep I recognize this level of responsiveness. Even though I am a little far away for a minor issue (Greensboro) he went out of his way to help me! Brian told me it was sensors and offered to help me with them. When I reached back out the next day he sent me a link to Lowe’s and advised that we can likely do it ourselves (my husband has willingly taken on this task). Mr. On The WayI connected with Joe Cathcart at Mr. On The Way (336.549.7420) and he came out to look at our garage door opener, and after much tweaking, he relented that our 12 year old opener was kaput and he offered a new belt drive opener installed for only $525.50. Joe is the best! Advanced Overhead Garage Door Service gave me a quote for either a Linear chain drive for $499 or a belt drive opener for $599. Meanwhile, he replaced the garage door rollers (12) to the tune of $133.75. Unfortunately, he did not follow up with the office and the installation never occurred. I also to call the repair person back to return my keys and garage door opener remote. I contacted PRECISION Garage Door, and got a quote from them later that day from $623 + tax for a belt driven opener.- T L K.

Precision Garage DoorI was very impressed with Precision from start to finish. Their people showed up when they said they would, including the person who came to give me the estimate. They were friendly and professional, getting the door replaced in just under three hours. The old door had actually been screwed to the frame and that didn't slow them down. I was also impressed with the turn around time. I got the quote on Friday afternoon, late, called them on Monday to discuss the cost, and they had the door replaced the next day. They were a bit more expensive than the other two quotes I received, but I decided to go with them because they seemed to be worth the extra cost. The door looks good, opens and closes smoothly and quietly, and I would definitely recommend them. I recently worked with another contractor who sent two workmen to my house who spoke no English. I speak no Spanish, so it was frustrating. The professional presentation by the salesman was the first good impression I had of this company. Nathan showed up on time and spent time looking at the roof and assessing what I needed. He presented a thorough and complete estimate, with numerous options, with a detailed package of information. Baker was not the lowest estimate I got, but they provided a more professional and complete picture of what I was to expect. This is the primary reason I choose them over some lower priced offers. On the day of installation the roofers arrived on time and started right away. They removed my old roofing and began the installation of the new roof by the afternoon. They came back a second day to finish up. This was as expected. One area of my roof needed the wood decking replaced. The roofers found the cause. There was a gap that allowed water to get in between the original wood siding and the added aluminum siding. They saw this when they were roofing the gable. If they hadn't pointed it out the water would have continued to seep in and damage the new roof. They took it upon themselves to point out the problem, take pictures, and provide a solution. I didn't have to get someone else to place a cap on the chimney - they took it upon themselves to hire a fabricator, get a lift to reach the top of the chimney and fix the problem. This took some additional time and cost, but they took the time and effort to make sure I was pleased with the entire process. When I got the bill, it was EXACTLY what I expected. There was no hidden cost, no oops, price overruns. A truly professional company. I can see why they've been in business so long! I would recommend Baker Roofing to anyone looking for a new roof or roof repairs.
