I thought I needed a door and the 4 organizations with whom I spoke were lining up to get my business; however, after speaking with this incredible gentleman whose name I can't remember, he made me realize I didn't need a door after all and SAVED ME over $2,700!!! He was the ONLY ONLY ONLY one who asked me what the problem was rather than just selling me something. I could not believe how helpful he was. We all have a problem in that we tell the experts what to do rather than what the problem is, and we are the least qualified to do it. So, when he asked me what the problem was, it showed me he was actually listening to me rather than trying to make a sale. I am incredibly grateful to him.

Call the sales representative, he threw his hands up. They messed up on the windows, so be careful because they will assume.you know the window lingo. Please take your business somewhere else!

The installation mostly went well. The installer showed up on time, hauled everything up three flights of stairs (making several trips) and worked efficiently. My only problem with the installation was that the sealing and painting of the window frame was left to me, a detail that was never shared until after installation. I feel like Brighton should have made that clear ahead of time. Here's why I won't hire Brighton again. When I put out a request for a quote back in November, the Brighton rep, Steve, was at my building within 48 hours. After accepting the quote and placing a deposit, I barely heard from him. We waited almost five months for installation from time of deposit and, for the first three months or so there was zero communication by Brighton. I reached out and was told that there were supply issues getting my window in which I completely understand. COVID has messed everything up and I know it's not Brighton's fault. This is bigger than all of us. I do wish, however, that someone would have reached out to me just to give me a heads up. From that point forward I reached out every so often for updates, often never hearing back. It was only when I called the office and asked to speak to Steve that I made some headway. The office asked what my call was regarding and I said, "the several emails he hasn't responded to." Following this exchange, Steve was in contact with me but there were constant delays due to weather--which I completely understand--but the reschedule was always, "hey, we'll be there tomorrow." I mean, I have a job. I need notice. I'm not on call for this. And when they cancelled--again, usually due to reasonable circumstances--it was at the last minute. TL:DR - installation was fine, the process leading up to it was enormously frustrating and lacked communication.

Berg Roofing and Home ImprovementsWonderful! The work was completed in June of 2021. John Oros came for the initial appraisal. We ended up paying a little less than $11,000 for the job. I cannot say enough good things about John and Berg. Above all he was completely honest and forthright. He actually talked us out of replacing some of our other windows saying that it was a waste of money and that the problem was not the windows, but was actually due to issues in the attic. He could have easily said that these windows needed to be replaced and we would have believed him. I really appreciate his honesty. In terms of the work itself, Berg did a wonderful job. The seams were all perfectly caulked. The windows and door were perfectly aligned, and the casing of the garage door frames was perfect. Replacing windows and/or doors is a huge investment, and we researched and spoke to other businesses before we went with Illinois Energy Windows and Siding. After the initial installation, any issues or questions were immediately addressed with no hesitation. Chi Renovation & DesignTom Tishby who was the Project Manager and led the crew of the Chi Renovation and Design on our project involving complete remodel of our kitchen and the powder room have done an outstanding job. Our kitchen remodel project involved removal of the wall to open up the galley kitchen, this required rerouting of the water pipes and installing new plumbing and wiring system. The crew worked efficiently they were very professional and neat while we were living in the apartment during the construction. The products of their work were outstanding in quality and precision. They met all the deadlines and provided courteous service. Communication was excellent throughout the project. Another important factors is that the crew and Tom Tishby in particular worked really well with our building engineer and manager making sure all the paperwork was an order the use of the service elevator and disposal was done according to building policies.
