I am so impressed and grateful for the prompt response from 5 Star Ventilation. I called with a short notice appointment request to have my chimney cap replaced, and 5 Star Chimney was able to schedule a service call the following morning to my home in Westborough. The cap on my chimney was replaced (during winter conditions no less!) and the certified chimney professional, Jim, also conducted an inspection of my chimney's interior and made recommendations for me to apply to maintain a safe and happy chimney. I genuinely appreciated Jims expertise and will definitely schedule my chimney cleaning in April with 5 Star Ventilation Thank you so very much for assisting me on such short notice and for an amazingly professional and thorough service that was also reasonably priced!!

GAFFNEY'S CLEANING & CHIMNEY CLEANING
Quick response to initial call, able to arrange an early morning visit. Took a good look around fireplace, furnace, boiler, dryer vents and flues. Offered good advice but was in no way pushy or attempting to find additional work. Cleaned fireplace flue quickly with minimal disruption and no mess. 2 days later came and fitted chimney cap. Gaffney's deserves it's high rating on Angie's List - friendly and professional service.

The chimney sweep went fine but they will try to sell you all types of other things by giving you worst case scenarios. Upon their inspection I had 2 other inspection done one tried to sell me other stuff and luckily the last one was done by a very honest company who did not try to up sell ,they pretty much told me everything was fine and that i didn't need any of the things the other companies were trying to sell. It seems that it's a pretty shady business when it comes to chimneys, i will stick with the good company i found

I used to have Master Chimney Sweepers for my chimney. But they were very booked up so I called Derek instead, who was able to come in very short notice and did a great job sweeping the chimney and installing a cap. Barry John did a great job relining a flue, repointing the top three feet on our chimney, and adding a stainless steel chimney cap. They explained what was needed to bring the chimney into good condition, and they did it in layman’s terms. Their price was very reasonable. They were punctual and very professional. The clean up was great. Overall it was a very positive experience. I would hire them again.

Cleaned my class A chimney to include: swept/vacuumed, cap swept, stove vacuumed, baffle vacuumed. He told me a small gasket needed to be replaced on the door. Told me where to get it, how much it cost, and how to do it (after he kindly offered to do it for me). Very prompt, professional, and personable. I also felt safe letting him into my home. I have been a customer of Complete Chimney since 2005 when they rebuilt the chimney and installed a stainless-steel liner for the furnace. I have had them inspect and sweep the liner every year since then to maintain the lifetime warranty of the manufacturer. Today, the crew showed up at early end of appointment range, which has happened more often than not. The work proceeded without a problem and the liner is still in good shape. George, the owner was here today and I mentioned that I was getting the furnace replaced next week. He said to call after that was done and he would come back and inspect the flue and make sure all was OK with that and the liner, at no charge. It is a pleasure to work with a professional and pleasant contractor who takes his work seriously.

As central heating has evolved over the last 100+++ years, many of the venting systems/chimneys have not received proper if any updates. They are often overlooked (out of sight out of mind). In many homes original chimneys were built to be used much differently than what is needed nowadays.
