Recent Review: A first class act! Our furnace had been out for over a week in zero degree weather. Another company had failed to fix the furnace and we awoke on a sub-zero Sunday morning to another day of frigid cold. Corcoran and Harnist arrived on a Sunday emergency call in no time (traveling across town from the west side to extreme east side). They fixed our furnace instantly (took other guys about two days and it still didn't work), and came out a second time to double check whether we should consider buying a new furnace. They were honest and told us it would not be worth the cost to invest in a new furnace -- HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, TRUSTWORTHY and EXPERT. We hired them again to install a new humidifier. They were not the cheapest, but they were definitely the most responsive, professional and trustworthy. They even anchored down a plumbing line in the basement for me at no additional charge. And they clean up after themselves. I will hire this company again without hesitation because they are honest and really know their stuff.

Recent Review: My 30 year old, 3-ton outdoor unit died on a recent August day. I consulted Angies list for a coupon to a reputable HVAC contractor to come out an have a look at the situation. Diagnosis was the compressor had failed and would require $400-500 of parts to maybe get it going with no guarantees, or $2200 to replace the compressor in the old unit, or of course, replacing the unit.After a couple of competing proposals were received from other contractors visitng my house, I tried Recker and Boerger on-line. The first part of the process was an online generated quote and scope of work that was generated by me inputting my house and system information. The scope of work that was generated was almost identical to other poposals obtained by salesmen coming to my house from other dealers. After studying the quote, I called Allen at R&B to check for understanding on a few items. He's very knowledgable and freindly. We discussed system technical matters, installation issues, pricing, financials, and differentiators between brands, SEERs, and schedule. Very pleasant and thorough customer experience. My system was to installed begining at 715a the next morning. My family and I stayed in motel that night.Barry, the technician arrived promptly at 715a to meet me at the house. I showed him around the system and he added a few extra materials and misc items to his work order he already had in hand. He called in his list to the home office and began removing the old equipment that would be replaced. About 45 minutes later, the Recker and Boerger truck arrived at the house with the bin of materials, the a/c unit, and humidifier. The guys on the truck brought the a/c and materials to the work site in back of the house and basement, and removed all of the trash, scrap, and old unit from Barry's demolition work. All like the clock work of a well oiled machine.About 6 hours later, my new unit was up and running and the house cooled down in a couple of hours. Barry answered my "traning" questions on the new unit and took care of the credit card transactoion.The process start to finish was amazingly well thought out, smooth, no-hassle - extremely professional. Price of the job was competitive with the lowest cost estimate from a much lesser reputable firm. Well done to Recker and Boerger. The only thing that could possibly sour this experience is if the equipment does not perform for some reason, and if I have a hard time getting it put right. Otherwise, I highly recommend Recker and Boerger!
