I had the complete house treated for termites around the perimeter. About 6 months later in the winter I was repairing a water leak in the basement bathroom. It is a daylight basement with a exterior door close by. In repairing the water leak I found some termite damage there. This was at the back of the home, the previously found damage was in the front of the house. The termites were active at the back of the house even though it was winter and cold. So I called Hershey Termite and they came right out and said that they must have a nest under the floor because they a not active in cold weather. So they then treated the area and retreated some adjoining areas. No additional charges.

I contracted Wayne at Triton initially to treat the house using the Angie's List big deal. He came out to the house quarterly and sprayed an orange scented spray in a few areas. He took off the light and switch plates and sprayed there as well. I had a termite swarm and contracted with Wayne to take care of them. After his inspection he didn't find any termites. Then he suggested we bait for them and installed stations around the house. After a year I had the worst swarm yet and was told that now we should treat the house. He drilled and injected the treatment on only one wall and the termite infestation continued. I had finally got him to agree to treat the rest of the area where the termites had ben seen. After 3 week of not hearing from him I had it and contacted with Ehrlich who gave me a plan and treated the entire house. Unfortunately they were not able to complete the treatment since weeks after he was contacted, Wayne treated another part of the house. This prevented Ehrlich from doing the complete treatment. Unbelievable!

They did a good job. I was pleased with both the estimator and the owner of the company. The estimator gave a lot of information on how termites behave in general and damage in my house. The owner came to my home and did thorough work, and also did a re-inspection of the basement for me as well.

Kirchner Brothers Pest Control
After changing my hours at work in order to be home, Kirchner Brothers contacted me saying I didn't actually need to be there. Then they showed up in the morning instead of at the afternoon appointment time. (I'm assuming) They raked the front flower bed and decided I needed a $1273 treatment. This is all after they read the buyer's agreement stating the work had to be done by them. With no competition, I'm pretty sure I got an unfair deal. I checked the average price on HomeAdvisor and it is $496. $1300 basically maxes out and goes off the chart for the top of their surveyed prices for PA. Yeah...highway robbery.

Phil came out, did an inspection & was very informative about what we should do & how Ehrlich treats for these types of pests. They worked out a payment plan that was affordable. They actually had to come out twice for the ants, but did so at no charge! Very pleased - no bugs whatsoever!

Recent Review: I had a carpenter doing some work at the garage exterior man door and he found what he thought was termites. I call their office for an inspection. Dwayne can out and verified that it was termites. They had caused minimal damage to the door frame. He created a plan for my home and a price. Over some discussion on price and what was to be done over a few days, I agreed to have the procedure done. They had two men come out and do the ground injections and bait stations were installed around the exterior of the home. A foam injection was also performed at the location in the garage wall where there was evidence where termites were working. All the work was done with knowledge and professionalism. The process took about two hours and everything was cleaned up when they left.
