Thank you very much for your feedback. We greatly appreciate any and all feedback we receive, as it is always important for us to continuously improve our products.

I appologize that you were having trouble with the configuration of where to store your backups, how many backups to store, and when auto backups are scheduled.

As for the location of where to save your backups, and how to choose the number of backups to save, this can be configured in your Total Upkeep settings.

    • Go to the Total Upkeep settings, and then go to the “Backup Storage” section.
    • Next to “Web Server ✓ Configured”, click on “Update”
    • In the input box under “Directory to store backup archives: ” enter the directory you wish to save your backups. The directory you choose is an absolute directory path. This means that if your public_html directory path is /home/username/public_html and you wish to save them outside of the public_html directory, you would enter /home/username/backup_directory
    • After entering a new directory, you will be asked “If you change this directory, current backups will not show in the list. Would you like us to move the backups to the new directory?”
    • If you wish to have your existing backups relocated to the new directory, ensure that the box is checked.
    • To choose how many backups to store, enter the number of backups in the input box under “Number of backup archives to retain (1 – 99): “
    • Click on Save Changes

As for the scheduling of your backups, this can be configured in the “Backup Schedule” section of the Total Upkeep Settings:

    • Go to the Total Upkeep settings, and then go to the “Backup Schedule” section
    • If you want backups done weekly, then select the specific day of the week that you wish for backups to be performed. For example, if you wish to have backups done once a week on Sunday, check the box next to “Sunday” and leave all others unchecked.
    • If you wish to have backups done daily, then put a check in the box next to each day of the week

I apologize if the process of configuring this is overly complicated. Please rest assured that we will look into possible ways of streamlining this.
