Global Turf Irrigation7-3-2021: Global Turf Irrigation recently updated/upgraded an older irrigation system in my backyard. There were newly landscaped areas needing better water coverage and new nozzles/heads and Global Turf Irrigation, as always, did an superb job!! Travis and Alfonso are irrigation professionals who take pride in their work and make sure every job is done right. Travis works closely with customers to gain a complete understanding of what the customer wants. He then structures a plan that will best achieve a customer's goals and expectations. Travis and Alfonso installed new water lines and new sprinkler heads, replaced a number of faulty or broken heads, and adjusted water patterns for the best coverage on newly planted and landscaped areas. I use Global Turf Irrigation for all of my irrigation needs. I can always count on Travis and Alfonso for prompt and reliable service and to do the best job possible at a reasonable price. Erwin's Tree Service & Stump Grinding, LLCThe five-man crew arrived at the scheduled time properly equipped to perform the work. Equipment included a bucket truck, large woodchipper, Bobcat mini track loader, large hauling truck and various cutting tools. They immediately staged the area to start the work. As work commenced each person started to perform their function. The team worked like a well-oiled machine. As branches started to be cut and lowered to the ground, the ground crew immediately started chipping the branches discharging the waste into the haul truck. As bigger and bigger tree sections were cut and lowered to the ground, the track loader carried the large waste to a staging area at the back of the property. One man on the ground worked with the tree cutter in the air utilizing a rigging operation where they controlled the speed that cut material was lowered to the ground. The man in the air picked his way through the tree rigging and cutting at an amazing speed. It was obvious that he was highly skilled at his craft. He also demonstrated his climbing skills going up a large tree to remove the satellite dish interference. The work was continuous for hours, cutting, lowering, chipping and stacking large tree sections. No moves involved wasted efforts. In the end they ground the stump and cleaned the entire work area. Everyone was productive all the time resulting in this job being completed in less time than could reasonably expected. There may be other companies that work as well as this company, but I personally believe there are no companies that are any better than this company. This company is the best of the best. I would definitely use them again and I do not hesitate to recommend them.- William B.

Elephant Trunk Tree and LandscapingI called ETTL out for an estimate on trees. I figured they might come out next day but Raheem (sp.-sorry if off!) came out that evening and they gave me a good price. I'd seen that they also worked on decks in one of the other reviews, so decided I'd get an estimate for that too. Raheem and the crew walked around with me as I showed them some places where the wood was rotting-they also pointed out some weak points I'd missed. He then asked for some paper and the crew took notes on what they'd seen and what I'd pointed out. We then discussed price. I'd seen from the other reviews that R doesn't play-he quoted me a price that I thought was more than fair, but as I thought about it, he came down just slightly which made it a little easier for me, and said "you want this done tomorrow?" I was kinda shocked-it was 8:30 pm...but I liked the price, and wanted it done. He asked if we could go get the stuff now and have it here in the morning. I went out with him and he and his crew grocery shopped for what was needed (there's a guy on this crew that has such a jovial spirit-seems like he lives for this stuff-you'll know him when you see him!) I bought the materials and they dropped it all off in my back yard. They were back as promised before 9 am the next day and worked all day-they were done by 5 pm. I bought the wrong paint-Raheem said no worries. He promised to come back whenever I got the paint to knock it out ("that's part of the job," he assured me) and smooth out the dirt piles even if it's on the weekend. I have no doubt that he will. Everybody was really cool and polite. We brought out a cooler w/some water & Gatorade as it was an 90 degree day and you'll want to do at least that much given their work ethic. I'll probably be using him and the crew for my trees as well once (if) my funds get replenished :) - we also discussed some small landscaping projects, and he said he'd bring me a catalog for some stuff he'd worked with before. I'm looking forward to it. Update: Wanted to say that Raheem and the crew was back out at 8:30 am on a Saturday (my alarm clocks), got everything painted, tightened up a couple of boards that needed a extra screws on the landing area (before I could had to point them out), and sawed off several screws that were a bit long on the top of the deck. They also replaced the skinny rail that you may be able to see in the picture just right of center-in replacing a couple other rails, a space had been left. And as a sort of chef's kiss, left a pink and white flowering plant for the wife, who's putting it in the yard. Well done, quite pleased.- CEDRIC T.

THE STONE MAN, LLCIt is hard for me to put into words the deep appreciation and admiration I have for everyone at The Stone Man for transforming my backyard into my own outdoor oasis. During the planning/ design phase, Chris Davis met with me multiple times, both at my house and on-site at The Stone Man to develop and refine initial sketches. Working with me to understand what my dream goal would be, and finding a way to get the design completed within budget was greatly appreciated. Chris remained professional and patient with me throughout the planning phase, and his work was greatly appreciated. Once the construction began, Jon Purdue and team worked diligently on-site around the clock to transform our design vision into reality; and did the final result exceed expectations! I have confidence the team can complete any project, large or small, after seeing the work completed. The team developed the following: - Retaining wall designed in variable height from approx. 4 feet to 6 feet (to meet an architecture design I requested) - Large covered area with a fireplace, wet bar, and bar seating for 4 - Outdoor kitchen equipped with a custom designed brick oven - Outdoor fire pit with a seating wall, and additional seating for 4 adirondack chairs - Large paver area, complete with matching stone trim, which ties into countertops, fireplace, fire pit, etc. The daily workers on-site (led by Leo) are truly artist at their profession. One advantage of working from home during the pandemic was to be able to see the team hand chipping stone and building truly one of a kind masterful pieces. Jon did an exceptional job managing the project, checking in with me via phone or on-site multiple times a week. When sub-contractors came on-site to complete the work, they presented the same professionalism as the team from The Stone Man. Through conversations with the various sub-contractors, it was evident The Stone Man team performs a lot of reoccurring work with these groups, and the quality of work and professionalism exemplified by the team at The Stone Man was cascaded throughout all groups involved. Post-production, both Jon and Chris continue to check-in to ensure the work quality remains. Whether it be phone calls, text, hand written notes, or stopping by for small adjustments, this team is committed to excellence from start to finish and beyond. Throughout the process, not only did I gain a backyard design beyond my wildest dreams but I truly did gain friends that I hope to have over for a drink/ food to admire their work and realize how happy I am with the finished product. If you are looking for a professional and personable team who delivers the highest of quality work, look no further than The Stone Man. Enchanted LandscapingMr Clay did a fantastic job at my new rental home with much needed trim work and refresh of mulch and rock trimmed areas. Upon my first call, was told I had to pay an up-front deposit of $125 just to schedule a visit. After I provided my credit card number for payment, I was told they would call me to schedule a time and that a technician could not come out until the middle of that following week. They were prompt in charging my credit card but as of Wednesday of the next week, they hadn't called. So I called and learned that I was scheduled for service that same day, i.e. no notice or concern for the customer's time. I promptly canceled because I found another company that didn't charge me before scheduling, was more responsive and communicated with the customer in a more timely manner.
