Heat Pump Installers Near San Francisco

David showed up during the assigned time slot, introduced himself and got straight to it. I showed him the outside drain line & where the condenser pump was. He asked a few questions and then started to trouble shoot the issue. After inspecting the pump, he poured water directly into the drain line to see if the pump would switch on and it did. He did this 4 separate times, with the A/C on and off and each time the pump kicked on and drained the water. We discussed a couple possibilities as to why I was not seeing the water drain, but since the pump drained while he was here & there were no signs of water damage by the pump anywhere, he didn't think the pump was malfunctioning. I appreciated the honesty and thanked him for his time.

dlAll work was completed in one day with a crew of 3 people. Company removed old heater and heat pump, installed a new slab for the heat pump and installed the air handler and new heat pump. Work was done professionally and tested prior to their leaving. System has work well since installed one month ago. The new eco friendly system has reduce my utility bill significantly - well in excess of 50 percent

He was efficient and very professional. As my heat pump is old, he told me what I might expect and when to purchase a new one, without being hard sell.

Professional, respectful, skilled at their craft, and with attention to detail. They communicated clearly, kept mess to a minimum, and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. Highly recommended!

Analyzed the system and explained what was happening, before the work was done only the fan was working on the air pump, after the fix it works just like new.

Great. They were very thorough, checking the air ducts, measuring the temperature of the air leaving the ducts, and explaining the problem to me. I received a call the day of the appointment refining their ETA, got a call when they left their previous appointment and received an accurate final ETA. The workers wore masks, had uniforms, identified themselves, wore disposable booties in the house, were very professional and courteous.

We called Rigo and he came over promptly to see what was going on! Just the pump to move water out was dead, and it caused a backup from the condensation and bam, water everywhere. Rigo quickly had our little condensate pump replaced with a brand new one which we expect will last us years, and off he went. Very responsive, quick to help and was a much less expensive part than the entire air unit which is what i was preparing for, so very happy all around.

Had spent over $ 400 on repairs with another company which accomplished nothing - furnace wouldn't run. Other company wanted to install additional ducting for approx. $1000. Note: this furnace had run for 7 years with existing ducting. Diablo Valley Comfort Sys. responded quickly, checked furnace and circuitry, found problem (defective switch in condensate pump) , disconnected pump allowing gravity drainage and furnace ran fine. All I paid was $ 74 diagnostic fee.

We always had to track David down. He did not call back when hours late for appointment He was Always late or not showing up at all for appoinmtments. He marked up pump 350% of retail cost. (Retail price $100. He charged us $350.00.) Terrible comany!!

Just about perfectly! The receptionist on the phone was personable, polite, cheerful, and got a tech appointment quickly. The tech (Bruce) arrived on time (early in the 4 hour window), was also polite, cheerful, and represented ABC very well in terms of service and genuine helpful attitude to customers. He worked quickly but carefully, diagnosed the problem and had the replacement pump in his van. Easily the best experience I've had with HVAC/Plumbing company ever. You can bet I will call ABC the next time we have a problem.

Bought my condo about 18 months ago. It had an old technology, freon, heat pump, 24 years old. I asked about replacement with my first service, not Cold Craft, and was told there was no replacement unit available. In 2010 the homeowners' association contracted with Cold Craft to replace the heat/AC units for the common areas. Cold Craft quoted the price for my unit, including the structural work and permits, with the work commencing when Cold Craft had cranes at the property to lift my unit to the third story roof with the larger, common area units. My project seemed to take some extended time, start to finish, possibly as a small part of a much larger project. The unit is in and functioning well and I have no unresolved issues with the job.

These guys are CROOKS! Do not use them. They are dishonest! Mark, the technician, shorted power on my Carrier heat pump when servicing the fan motor (a $250 item). It caused $1381 in damage, to control board, thermostat, and furnace controller. Mark documented on the work order that the system worked when he arrived, but now needed replacing. The company refused to accept any responsible and even refuses to have anyone talk with me about the problem!. Michelle, the extremely rude phone lady, screens my calls to trash. I had to pay another HVAC company almost $1,400 to fix their Damage - on top of the simple $250 fan motor that was the original issue.

There were several reasons I was particularly satisifed with the services performed. First of all, our air conditioner broke on the first really hot weekend of the season. I called several repair services and Duke's responded immediately and set up an appointment. He arrived promptly at the desiganted time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He did not have the replacement part with him, but figured out when he could get it and arranged to return to install it, accommodating my work schedule. He also suggested a temporary fix that was largely successful. After obtaining the necessary replacement, he again arrived at the designated time and quickly and efficiently replaced the defective pump. I fully expected to be charged for the two visits--one on the weekend to diagnose the problem and the second on a weekday to install it, but, on his own initiative, he only charged me for the one visit (saying "If I can't make a living honestly, what's the point?"--an unusual and refreshing attitude, in my experience.) He also inquired if I was eligible for a senior discount (10%) and gave that to me. Thus, the cost of the service was considerably less than what I'd originally anticipated. I highly recommend this service.
