Adding videos to your WordCamp site

Once your videos have been uploaded to WordPress.tv,  you can embed the video back on your WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. site.

Here are the steps to do that.

  1. Find the video on WordPress.tv
  2. Click on the Share button located to the top right of the video player.

  3. Copy the permalink address.

  4. Go to the edit screen of the WordCamp page where you want to embed the video.
  5. Add in the shortcodeShortcode A shortcode is a placeholder used within a WordPress post, page, or widget to insert a form or function generated by a plugin in a specific location on your site. [wpvideo ] where you want the video to appear.
  6. Paste in the permalink address to the short code just before the final square bracket ].
  7. Delete the permalink text https://videopress.com/v/
  8. The shortcode should now look something like [wpvideo abcdefgh]. Press publish or update the post.
  9. The video will appear in the content of the page where the shortcode was inserted.
