When I disagree on impression, she is always adaptable to my quirky ways. All is low key and flexible. She always arrives as planned and always upbeat and positive. She has also referred me to expert artisans for carpentry, furniture design/construction and those she works with are the best. Ado ConstructionI purchased an 8 hour Big Deal. He was a very nice guy & hard worker. The doors I purchased for my closets were not the exact size - but he had the right tools with him and spent a lot of time measuring until they fit right. He got a lot done and I was very impressed. Ado ConstructionAdo Construction was on time. He came at 8:30 am like he told me he would be there. Went to work promptly to remove the old shutters and replace with the new shutters that I already had purchased. After finishing that, he replaced the panel board and since we needed new molded trim near the floor he went to Home Depot to buy pieces needed to finish off installation. When he returned he cut the trim to fit and completed the job. Gave me suggestions on what else needed to be fixed. He was very nice and offered helpful information for me. Was honest and did not overprice services. Would recommend his workmanship for future jobs.- Carol M.

Matthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

For many years we debated whether or not to have the carpeted stairs and second-floor hallway in our 1984 home remodeled with hardwood. After finally deciding to forge ahead, it came time to determine who would do the best job. One of the businesses we came upon was Towne Decorators in Rotterdam, NY. They weren't the lowest priced nor were they the highest, but there was something about Dave Tomasek, who came out to do an estimate, that just felt right. He was on time, polite, professional, and listened to what we, the customers, wanted. We decided to go with his family-run operation that had been in business for decades. We visited the store to finalize wood styles and colors and he could not have been more accommodating. A few days prior to the day of installation, Dave dropped off the flooring so it could acclimate to our home's environment. He called to let us know that he was on his way but would be arriving 8 minutes late, asking if that was okay with us. Amazing. Who does that anymore? A few days before the installation, there was a major accident in our area that damaged (and closed) a bridge and caused daily traffic jams. On the day of installation, the installers got tied up in one of the jams and called to say they would be just a few minutes late. Again, who does that? Every person at Towne Decorators is so polite and respectful of the customers' time. As for the installers, we were hoping to have workers show up who had some experience doing this type of work. Instead, we got Larry and Jason (hope I got the names right), two true craftsmen with the hands and eyes of a surgeon! They were respectful of our home and non-intrusive, cleaning up everything as they went along. We could hear them almost agonizing over the minuscule adjustments they had to make in our far-from-perfect floors and stairs. It had been many years since I had seen work of such a high caliber. I can not say enough good about Towne Decorators, their employees, and their workmanship. It is often said that you get what you pay for. In this case we couldn't be happier with what we got. And there were no surprise add-ons in the final bill. Full disclosure; we are not related to or friends with anyone at Towne Decorators nor do we know anyone who is. This is a straight-up, unbiased review. Tired of getting second-rate flooring work? Call these guys. You won't be sorry.

She was able to squeeze my job in and called to tell me when she would be available to hang the wallpaper border. There were other workers in the house at the same time but Virginia was able to work around them. The humidity was an issue but we were able to resolve it.

If I could give zero stars, I would. First, it was taking forever to get my order. When I looked at my order, they somehow had the wrong address (my former address from five years ago), so I contacted them to change the address. They assured me that the address was changed. A couple of weeks later, I was notified via email that my order was delivered but when I checked my front door it wasn't there, so I went to my old address, 30 minutes away and got lucky that the owner was there and had received my order. When I got it home the 3 roller shades that I ordered for side-by-side windows were all 4 inches too big. I followed the online measurement directions which suggested that you add 2 inches per side to your measurements for an outside mount. I should have stayed with my original measurements. When I called, they suggested that I keep an inch on each side. They re-made them, and AGAIN sent them to the wrong address - even after I re-confirmed that they had the right one. Again, I had to go to my old address to look for my delivery. This time, no one was home, so I took a chance and waited in front of their house for a while until someone may come home. Luckily, someone showed up within 90 minutes. This time they had showed up with 2 boxes! They re-made it twice (6 roller shades), all still too big! Due to the global pandemic and for personal reasons, I waited to address the issue. When I finally was able to contact them, I was sent a message that the CSR's supervisor determined that the blinds were made correctly. Therefore, they cannot offer a remake for this order. Their policy states that they will make up to 4 shades if the customer is not completely happy. However, they offered to remake the shades at a discounted price! I will not give them one more penny! Worst service ever! A $500.00 lesson learned - They stole my money and left me with 9 useless roller shades to get rid of. I do not recommend them!

The communication was terrible, a job that should have taken a week took 3 weeks some days no one showed up. The job wasn't completed because I got fed up with time and lack on consistency. The work was subpar and not done properly missing j channels- gaps in wrap install. Going to cost me more to fix/complete the work. I do not recommend.
