These guys did a great job and were super friendly and attentive. I called to get estimate on liner and Gary came out immediately and measured and called me with the price. From there I waited until we were ready and showed up at their store and picked out a liner. Rodney was very patient we even changed our mind on liner before he ordered it. You pay 1/2 deposit to order liner and then Rodney comes out to install it. It looks great. Small family owned business with friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend them.

Jack did an incredible job working on our pool. He is knowledgeable and punctual. This man knows pools! We are very pleased with all the work that he did for us. I highly recommend him to anyone with an in-ground liner pool.

Made two appointments with them prior to them coming out. The first appointment they called to inform me they had another appointment taking longer than they thought and would not be able to be out . The second appointment I had to call them to find out why they had not shown, again another appointment had lasted longer than they thought ( must had forgotten that I was waiting on them ). The third time I called they send 2 people out within two hours after the call. My problem with this company was the lack of communication and the pricing. Was not informed that part of the hourly pricing was also travel time. The original invoice I received had more hours than they had worked also ( both guys working took off to get a part needed and did not come back till 3.75 hours later, the invoice had charged me that one person had stayed and I was charged- I made sure I was at the house during this and I was taking the time they worked.) When the invoice came in ( I had already put $1000 down on the first day they worked ) I called to see why I was being charged so much- I had the time they worked and based on what I was told I was being charged on a per hour bases for 2 people, I thought the only extra charges would be for the parts they used. Bottom line: Lack of Communication ( the guys that came out only could communicate with broken English- I could not understand what they were saying . The invoice was changed based on me calling ( still charged the travel time - if communicated I would had looked elsewhere). and when the invoice did get changed the guys that where working told their supervisor that one of them did stay to work when the other left to get a part, but he was not going to charge me ( Why would I have lied about this ). I thought it would cost about $1500 to replace ( I already had bought the liner and talking to Shoemakers originally I was confident that this would be the est, cost - no one ever came out to est. it was done by phone. I used Shoemaker based on their rating on Angie's List. I have waited to send in a review to give Shoemaker's Pool Service time to correct the problem I had.

Excellent! I've been going to Allstar for years now for all my pool needs, and now they have surpassed my high opinion of them with the work they did on my pool. Diana at the Fultondale location was wonderful to work with her crew (Taylor, Dean and Josh) performed expert repairs and installations. They took care of all issues that came up and were a pleasure to work with. I found the pricing very competitive and their dedication to the task priceless. They really do go above and beyond your expectations. And if you ever have a question about anything to do with pools (and spas), Corinne at the Trussville location knows EVERYTHING about it!

I usually don't take the time to write a review but I have been so impressed with this company. I hired them after my husband passed away two years ago and needed help cleaning my pool. They went above and beyond for me when the ice storm hit last year. They checked on my pool several times during the day to make sure my pipes didn't burst. When I needed a new liner they installed it quickly and did a great job. The staff is friendly, responsive and extremely professional. I sold the house with the pool but if I ever need them again I wouldn't use anyone else.

The crew worked quickly while at our house, but once work was nearing completion, it became apparent that the lower pond was not holding water. I mentioned it to the crew, who repeatedly assured me that their work was guaranteed and that they would make sure it was not leaking before they finished. They finished and left us with a leaky pond and rock shards all over our lawn. Repeated attempts to get the owner, Ken, to make good on their guarantee were in vain. He made us go through various exercises of "fill it up and watch the level", "turn off the pump and watch it", "turn on the pump and watch it", "fill it up and watch it", etc, etc, etc, over the course of WEEKS. He did replace the liner in the small pond (although I told them that was not the one that was leaking). Eventually, after weeks of phone calls, he became quite nasty and demanded an additional $1300 to replace the liner. We declined his offer.

I was impressed by how much time Creative Pools spent on the phone with me even though they weren't being paid to do so. They also could have taken this opportunity to push a new liner on me but instead suggested trying a diver that could possibly patch it instead. In the future, I will be sure to call Creative Pools.

After filling my pool with water after the new liner was installed in early July 2013, the pool began losing water. My regular pool guy, not D & B patched the torn seam so that no more water would be lost. This cost me $80. I notified D & B Pools about the split seam and he said I could either go ahead and get a new liner right then or wait until I closed the pool in the Fall (of 2013). I chose to wait until the fall. When it was time to close I attempted by text and phone messages to reach D & B pools to no avail. So, I went ahead and had the pool closed. In early April of 2014 I wrote the owner, Mr. Dave Burrus a letter saying that when I opened the pool in May I wanted to go ahead and replace the defective liner. I told him I wanted to hear from him by the end of April. A week before the end of April (2014) I texted Mr.Burrus and asked what his plan was to replace. His wife (supposedly) responded and said that Mr. Burrus was in the hospital and had possibly had a heart attack. I waited about 2 weeks and texted again and asked his plans. He said that the dr. wanted him to take it easy for about 4 weeks. I said, "so, can I expect to hear from you after you have rested and recovered?" He responded in the affirmative. It has now been almost 2 years and Mr. Burrus has failed to live up to his promise of replacing my pool liner. I can take this to Small Claims court but really prefer NOT to have to do this. I am planning to notify the BBB of Alabama and file a complaint with that agency. I have a witness to Mr. Burrus's promise as he also told my son that he would replace the liner.

They came in really quick and gave an estimate within two week they had the liner put in, it was perfect and he has been taking care of our pool. He came yesterday to close it. He had really great prices and he's been really great to deal with. He answers the phone quickly. We had a lightening storm that we thought hurt our pool pump and he came right out with no cost and that's it. He said the pool pump was fine.

Overall we have had a great time getting to know Dave Burrus. He made a potential 'moneypit' in our backyard into a really nice resource for our family to relax and play in. Dave Burrus is a great contractor, and is really very knowledgeable about pools, construction of pools, liners, tile and deck installation--he has been doing pool repair and maintenance all of his career. He has made himself available to us during our ongoing renovations and has really been of great assistance whether we are asking about the plumbing, waste water distribution, new pool motors or filtering systems, or the safest chemicals to put in the pool. There is no question too small or absurd for him to answer!
