DSLD completely overhauled our yard. From the very first meeting, David Sharp had a vision for our lawn and walked us through every step. We could not get grass to grow and he knew exactly what to do. He cut down a dozen trees to allow for more sunlight, grated our front and backyard, added a retaining wall, laid sod and voila!... We have a yard to be proud of and one our kids can actually play in. Great investment!

Matthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

The ETS Restorations team are miracle workers. We worked with an online design firm to produce an amazing design, but it was just a computer rendering without building specs. They took a pretty complex design (included fencing, a shed, paving, custom wood planter boxes) of our front yard and back yard and turned it into reality. Better yet, they did it in two weeks to get it done before a party we were hosting at our house, and right on budget. The head guy Charles came out and was really thoughtful. (He does design work himself on most jobs) Came up with great ideas (ie picking stone, designing the shed, lighting, irrigation, etc) and also improved the design. Then delivered a quote that he stuck to. The craftsmanship was top notch and the guys take pride in their work which really matters vs other home renovations where the key pieces are usually bought and just installed vs custom. Highly recommend them.

Premium cost, failed to meet expectations When visiting my home to assess what I needed, several details regarding problems in my landscaping were discussed, that I assumed were understood and included in the bid they then provided. After the work was done this week, while I was at work and not here to monitor, I came home to find that these details were missed. When following up with them, all they would stand behind was what was specifically noted on the bid, not the expectations I walked away with. These expectations factored into my decision to choose them over other bids. This bid was the highest one I obtained, and I chose it because I knew I wouldn’t be here to monitor the work was done to my satisfaction. I guess you don’t always get what you pay for. Tips for whoever chooses to do business with these folks – 1) Make sure every expectation is explicitly noted on the bid you sign for the work; 2) Be home when the work is being done to ensure all the expectations are being met, and the work isn’t rushed; and 3) Don’t put too much faith in a landscape company that is mostly known for their weekly talk-radio landscaping show.

Then in 2013 Father Nature returned to landscape our backyard which included enclosing pool equipment, adding decking to coordinate with existing deck, adding deck railing, landscape lighting, installing new irrigation system, creating a rock walkway, building a short boulder retaining wall, laying a brick paver walkway, laying a round brick paver seating area which includes a firepit, many large tree and shrubbery plantings, and a large variety of smaller plantings. They continue to maintain this landscape to the present day. These men are very pleasant and easy to work with. They developed a beautiful landscape design. I didn't want some of the plants that were suggested. They listened and found really nice alternatives. I am loving these plants! The teams arrived early each day during installation and worked very hard. So, both installations went quickly. I never had any concerns about my security around these men. Likewise, in the years that they have maintained our yard I've never been concerned for the safety of myself or my dogs. They have always been professional and kind. I must admit that we went through a time period when I couldn't get the maintenance team to follow-up on some issues we were having with struggling plants. This lasted for about two months. That was frustrating, and we lost some plants. However, they guarantee their plants, so the plants have been replaced, and we are back to the excellent service that we had known previously. We regularly receive compliments on our yard from personal friends to strangers driving down our street. We greatly enjoy working with this company.- Rebecca H.
