He was very nice and very professional but he just didn't do the type of work that I needed done. I am doing some specific work on gas lines and he doesn't work on gas lines.

GENMOR PLUMBING

From my great past experiences with Genmor doing my water main line, I asked them to come back and quote replacing moving a gas line to the garage. Upon talking with Genaro (hope I got that spelling right!) I decided to upgrade the line size from 1/2" to 3/4" to the kitchen range as well to provide more gas flow to the range. They installed new gas lines to the kitchen and garage from the meter /main outside. Also, they left a stub and gas valve outside at the meter for me to add a gas grill in the future. I'm absolutely impressed with the quality of the work. The new layout and construction of the gas lines is very neat and well laid out. As we talked about, the range now no longer loses pressure when the tank-less water heater is on. Due to the tank-less water heater and Genaro's recommendation 1" gas lines were run to the garage and then split out to 3/4" to the tank-less, 1/2" to the furnace and gas dryer. The range in the kitchen was fed with a 3/4" line as well. Everything is much cleaner and works great now compared to the old setup.

I am so very pleased to find a good honest plumber that I will use him again for all my plumbing needs. He is giving me an estimate to run a gas line for a gas stove.

We wanted a seismic gas shutoff valve (shuts of gas in the event of an earthquake to prevent a fire), but had an odd pipe configuration (lots of changes in diameter) near the gas meter. Another plumber came out, quoted, got confused, requoted, then never called me back. Albert Nahman sent out an estimator and then sent us a quote. We called to schedule work and the job was done promptly for the quoted price.

Ron came out on 12/30 to do a walk through of the work and give me an estimate. He called the same night to schedule an appointment for 12/31 between 10 and 11. He came at 10:30 AM. Ron replaced gas line to the water heater, replaced a corroded brass supply line to my fireplace gas logs with modern flex tubing, and replaced the leaking exterior garden hose water faucet in the backyard. Ron showed me the old gas supply pipe - the pipe had a plug of stucco or concrete in the pipe - it's a wonder that the water heater even worked! The cost included labor, replacement pipe for the gas line and the replacement gas log supply line. I supplied the new garden hose faucet. Ron was pleasant, professional, and fast. He was done with all three items in about an hour.

Bill came out, assessed the situation, went away to get the right part, came back and installed it on the gas line. Then he was able to connect the gas flex pipe I had purchased to the correct adapter he installed, and installed it correctly to the gas cook top I was trying to install. Result was that I can cook again. Yay.

First, let me say I had one of those large, plumbing companies with lots of advertising come over to bid on the job. I was given a bid of over $400, since the guy said he would have to take the whole grill apart to connect the gas line. More than the price of the grill. I frankly didn't think he understood the job. So I remembered to check Angie's list, found Heise's plumbing near my home, and called. The plumber was out the next day, did the job efficiently and courteously, and charged a reasonable price. I'm never impressed with plumbers, but this time I was. This will be my new plumbing company for future work. Thanks Angies List.

They put in new plumbing, a new microwave with a vent, repaired holes, put in light fixtures, installed a gas line and a gas stove top, installed a gas line for my dryer, fixed all of the electrical, put on a new security door and locks, installed motion light detectors around the house, installed a new water heater, installed a new air conditioning unit and branded on a new railing. He is a general contractor in the bay area.

After installing the shut off valve, Omar made sure I knew how to turn the gas back on if it had shut itself off, and described in detail how delicate the valve is. When looking at the gas line to our dryer, he provided a lot of info and rough quote for fixing our gas line issues in addition to a lot of other helpful information and tips. Overall a very positive experience; I'd call up Ace Plumbing again.

I provided the valve itself. The work took literally 1 minute, but because it was a house call, I was still charged $125. Outrageous fee for a simple task albeit he gave me a $25 discount because of being 45 minutes tardy. I called the office and the phone number is an answering service, so no help was given at all as to the arrival time of the plumber.

The plumber had to put gas line had to go through a channel he cut through the slab floor and the wall between the kitchen and livingroom. When the installer of the gas fire logs came, he commented about he high quality of the line that was put in for him to hook up to.

Tom was very personable and gave us a reasonable estimate. He completed the project in the timeline that he gave. Once the line was installed, he waited for the inspector to give his ok and he even helped adjust the new gas range for us. I have called him up for future plumbing jobs

John came out late afternoon because I could not leave work until 3:30. He gave me an estimate after checking out everything that would be needed. He informed me that I would need a permit, which I knew. I appreciated that he would not do work that was not done up to code. The project involved adding a new line from the meter, running it into the garage, around the garage to the attic. Then it went through the attic to the kitchen and down the kitchen wall. John and his partner John came and did the work on the MLK holiday. They made a special effort to only open a small portion of the wall behind the stove rather than having to go through my living room wall. The inspector came and determined that the dropped line was not of sufficient size. John came back, installed the proper pipe, had the system reinspected, and finalized everything. There were no additional charges. Both men were very professional and knowledgeable. In fact, I was asked if I intended to install a tank-less water heater sometime in the future. I don't know if I do; however, John suggested that this would be a great time to add a T to the new line so that can be done sometime later. No real extra cost, but great suggestion for pre-planning.

Albert Nahman Services

Mr. Nahman himself showed up with his team to review the work to be done. He noticed right away that the current gas line feeding the new line would not be big enough to supply all the BTUs for the various gas appliances we would be running (we were installing a gas fireplace insert and a gas stove). He had a larger diameter pipe installed that was not part of the bid and because of this, he did not charge us. Our electrician was working on-site at the same time and accidentally pierced a small water pipe. Mr. Nahman's team fixed the problem right away, even though it lengthened their work day. The work was excellent and done on time. The workers were professional and very careful to protect our property. They showed up as scheduled and completed the work on time. We especially appreciated how knowledgable, helpful and professional everyone was.

Jesus was exceptional. I needed to install these gas lines a couple of days before my flooring project started and I could not get any one on yelp or other places to perform the installation in such a small amount of time. Jesus came over to inspect everything, went to the crawl space and mapped out all the plumbing in a matter of minutes and he was ready to start on the project the very next day. He assured me that he will finish the three installations in one day and he did keep his word. He will sweat it out when it comes to work and the work was spotless. The gaslines looked great and I couldn't have anyone better than Jesus. He even explained me all the pro's and con's in installing separate gaslines for stove and bbq and I was super pleased by the quality of work, the professionalism and the demeanor. I will definitely use Jesus for all my future plumbing needs.

The owner and his assistant arrived at the house when they said they would. The owner found and repaired a gas leak in the connecting valve for a gas fireplace. He also went under the house and tested the pipeline to insure there were no other leaks. Although gas leaks are not a repair he often did, he was knowledgeable enough to effectively stop the leak. Although they were not at the house for more than 30 minutes, the one-hour minimum fee was well worth the reassurance there were be no more leaks. I would definitely contact this company were I to have a plumbing problem.

Our experience level - we have had remodeled two homes and made an addition, I wish we had this contractor lined up because it would have saved of thousands of dollars and headaches. He deserves the highest rating - A++

Around 50% of homes in the United States are heated using natural gas. Everyone will experience issues at some point in time.

How Much For a New Gas Line?

Expect to pay around $500 but it can be expensive, sometimes pushing $1,400, depending on the length of the line and complexity of the job, such as tight spaces or sharp angles.

Natural gas plumbing can be downright dangerous. You should rely on the pros to handle these projects. Here are hiring tips to follow as you select the right people to fix your LP or LNG connections.

1. Ask for Licensing Information

In most states, gas plumbers have to be licensed to practice their trade. Before you get an estimate, ask a prospective plumber if they're properly licensed, and ask for a copy of their licensing paperwork. While you're at it, ask for their insurance paperwork as well; if a pipe bursts while your plumber is working, you don't want to have to pay for the damages. If a gas plumber is truly qualified, they'll have a master plumbing license, which indicates that they're the most experienced professionals in their industry.

2. Get Bids on Paper

As you're selecting the right gas plumbers for the job, verbal estimates simply won't do. Whether you have an estimate written out by hand, faxed, or emailed, you'll need that paper trail later as you compare bids from various companies and reference your estimate against your contract.

3. Look into Their Background

A good gas plumber will be proud of his or her record, and they will be happy to provide you with the contact information of two or three customer references. Also, don't forget to check out the company's reviews to better understand their local reputation.

What Kind of Pipes?

Most natural gas pipes are copper - it's easy to transport (weight) and resists corrosion. Plastic pipes and tubes (bright colors such yellow) are used for stoves and ovens, along with tight angles.

How Much For a Outdoor Gas Grill Line?

Natural Gas grill lines cost between $100 and $600.

What is Natural Gas?

It's mostly methane pulled from underground using a variety of methods. It's typically found with other fossil fuels such as petroleum and coal.
