Magnolia Home Remodeling GroupWe had a three “room” project completed in November 2020: Framing - Removed back wall of house and part of the roof, rebuilt ceiling, installed beam, and rear wall Kitchen/Dining Room - Full gut job….new electrical, insulation, walls, floors, backsplash, appliances, paint, fixtures, etc. Deck - New from scratch. 17x17 with a pressure treated frame and timbertech composite decking, rails, balusters, steps, etc. ...since they were going to be replacing the roof where the new section was built, they also replaced our entire roof. The cost was reasonable relative to what it would’ve been to replace just the smaller portionn of the rebuilt roof. The subcontractors were all very professional and quality was high across the board. Here are the important points: -Communication - Stellar for the entire duration of the project (negotiating, permits, selections, day-to-day, inspections, etc.). Vic was our point person but had another person help when needed (permits, payments, etc.). When I needed something, it was Vic I worked with. We worked almost exclusively by text but got on phone calls when the situation called for it. -Schedule - Before we started the project, Magnolia claimed the project would take 4 months. I believe this would’ve been projected to be 3 months if we weren’t operating in a pandemic but the materials were a concern based on the initial plans the architect drew up. The entire project ended up taking 9 weeks from demo day 1 to the final inspection. Very impressive. -Pricing - Magnolia is not cheap but you’re paying for a contractor that’s experienced and proven in certain areas (e.g. kitchens, roofs, etc.) and has established relationships with the subcontractors they use. -Subcontractors and quality - Kitchen designer was flexible with what we were looking for but we had another kitchen that we used as a near mirror-image of what we wanted. The one thing that may be a concern here is that if you don’t know what you want, there might be a lot of back-and-forth to arrive at a final design. Roofers, tile/paint crew, etc. were all top notch. Overall a great experience. This was a high anxiety experience going in and Vic was professional and kept things moving very quickly and well ahead of schedule.- Anthony D.

GENERAL BRICK DESIGNSEd Constanza is a man you will love. He is a very intelligent, down to earth, perfectionist, caring person with wonderful work ethics! We had a horrific, disgusting ,smelly, moldy, dysfunctional crawl space as a basement. Which we had to take the oil burner and oil tank out of because of numerous water problems coming into our space. Ed and his crew came in and cleaned it up, waterproofed it, put anchors in, stones, a layer of concrete, wire mesh, then more concrete. Made it look so smooth. All this was done by the crew along with Ed. The crew, Wilson ,Darwin, Manuel, and Angel did all of this by hand!!! What excellent workers.. very hard work lifting wheelbarrows of cement and stones from the front of the house to the back 50 times for each, cement and stones in hot, humid conditions!!! They cleaned up anything that was laying around. Our place looked better than before they came to work, honestly!! We were scared to start this project at first, will all the other things we have done at our house that other contractors have done, and wound up being a mess and they could care less.. Its was that they got their money now try to get them to fix and redo the mess they made. NOT WITH ED CONSTANZA with Wilson, Darwin, Manuel, and Angel!!! Well worth every dollar we spent!! Nobody does it better in our opinion! They were such a Blessing!!!!! They are like our extended family now!! If you need a basement done or mason work, contact them for the best job and work ethics and price!! We are so happy we found Ed and his crew. Jersey Dry Inc.Darek at Jersey Dry was very helpful in working through the process of basement water leak discovery and remediation with me. Before contracting for the main interior French drain service we received he attempted to find less expensive solutions. Unfortunately an interior French drain was the eventual solution. When the French drain was done, everything happened in one day and the product looks very good. I would highly recommend their service.- Carlos P.

Down Under Waterproofing & Foundation RepairWalt, Max, and the whole crew were absolutely amazing. This was a HUGE project. We basically had no foundation on the back/ side of our house and the 2nd floor overhang was poorly supported. Prior to us purchasing the house the previous owner added a very large addition on top of a very old and poorly constructed “house” . The inspection at purchase did not uncover the issues that we found about two years after when all of the cosmetic touch ups wore off. Walt’s crew ( Supervised by Max) replaced the foundation wall , added piers under the house, replaced all of the floor joists along with new piers, beams, and headers on the 40ft span at the back of the house. This is just some of the larger items because I would be here forever if I listed everything they had to do. Walt kept us informed during the whole project. From start to finish we were on the same page. The house had so many hidden issues but the crew worked through all of it. The price was very reasonable and less then all of the other estimates from competitors. We didn’t have a bunch of surprise increases along the way. He didn’t try to scare us or sell us anything we didn’t need. They are honest and reliable. The results were amazing and so far beyond our expectations !!! They are all so talented. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of contractors!! They have been done for almost a week and we miss them being here already. I will recommend them to everyone.- Robin M.

We waited 2 months for our work to be completed after giving them a $525 deposit and assured this would be a simple job. The workers were site on 6/30 for several hours, but they were unable to complete the job. The porch steps barely moved and are visibly not level. The contract stated the the steps would be lifted and leveled. I was assured that the work could be completed by bringing in equipment and lifting the steps to insert the foam product. However, this did not come to fruition. Instead, I was offered a refund, not by my original payment method (credit card), but by check. Unfortunately, to make the situation more complicated, dried and hardened foam is stuck to my existing railing. Although I have made multiple requests to clean this up, my requests have been completely ignored. I was promised a call by Bill Paterno, who I have been in regular communications with and who has conducted himself with the utmost professionalism, from Kyle Ward, but he has not attempted to contact me. I would have appreciated if my railings would have been cleaned, but as it stands, the foam is hardened and their is permanent damage. Although I asked for help just to have this addressed, no one has contacted me.

Ed and his team are FANTASTIC! Based on the great reviews by others on AL, I called Ed and he came to inspect our home. Although he had a busy schedule, he was able to squeeze us in quickly ( we really needed it!), and the recent storm left us dry and comfy for the first time in years! The work was first rate, and when they left, you could not tell that anything had been done- the area was pristine. I would recommend Ed for all your waterproofing needs! He really lives up to his reputation!

This was a complete renovation of approximately 224 square feet of existing kitchen space- including- cabinetry- wood flooring-plumbing and electrical. Preliminarily, received excellent reviews from prior recent projects of similar size and scope. While no project is without some hiccups- Mike did an excellent job coordinating the various trades and keeping to a schedule during very difficult times. Delivery of some items not under Gotham's control namely cabinets had longer delivery production times. Mike's team as well as the sub-contractors- Plumbing-flooring and electrical were on point. Even demo was pretty clean. Everyone was neat-professional. Carpentry was perfect. What is most notable is that Mike owns the project as if it was his home. We spoke almost every single morning- project updates-addressing any questions or concerns. Always reachable- even after project closeout. There were no contractor driven change-orders and we stuck to agreed upon pricing. In fact, Mike was willing to assist me during any down time with work at my daughters newly purchased home with carpentry and the needs. If Mike, Rich and crew are on the project and his subs-you have little to be concerned about. In the end, you have a good project and have gained new friends.

HE REFUSED TO PERFORM THE SERVICE. He came out to my home and check the work and called me 3days for the estimate which I agreed to pay but he then refused to schedule a time to do the work after numerous excuse. He avoided my call and when he did talked to me, he screamed and hanged up the phone. He was aware that the job was urgent since I am experiencing water damaged to my home. I was patient and even offered him to put in a place holder to buy time until he is available to do the job. Nonetheless, he still refused to give any time frame when he will be able to preform the work. He's reason for not giving me a time frame changed every time I ask him. I do not recommend wasting your time getting a quote from someone who doesn't want to do the work.
