I got contacted with this provider inadvertently when looking for options on-line. By the time I realized the providers had been contacted and were ready to come and do a free estimate. I then went to Angie's list and saw the poor reviews for this provider. Anyway... They were calling and calling but not leaving a message for us to call back. I finally answered and arranged a visit for a free estimate. The salesman came promptly and on time. Other than that, I really felt that they were not happy by the fact that they were not driving the appointment. I was looking at refinishing the cabinets we have, and immediately he said they do not refinish, they replace all doors and drawers (hence the and quot;refacingand quot; term) and put veneers in the frames and covers of the existing cabinets. He also said the only material they work for countertops was granite, and quot;because it was the bestand quot; and could not provide other options. At this point, he basically lost interest on our project and was not very good hiding it. As a difference from other reviews, in our case, he basically flew through his binder, obviously with no intention to waste any more time in my house. I explained that I was unaware of the difference in the terminology, but nevertheless I would like to know what they could offer and would like to get the estimate to evaluate it. He said and quot;evaluate it?and quot;, I said yes, he was the first person to come and we were evaluating our options. He literally started to put the brochures back in his bag and barely keeping the conversation. It was like I was more interested on finding out what they could offer than him - I asked some questions about scheduling, use of subcontractors, etc.; and he kept asking if I was really interested on what they do or not. I explained that I had not thought about the option because I had something different in mind, but that without an estimate I could not know if we could take that route. He then said that based on his experience a ballpark for my kitchen would be 12,000 for the refacing part and 7000 for the granite (which would not include the tiling work that would be required to put above the backsplash). At this point I also got tired of being barely acknowledged as a potential customer and I told him that maybe we needed to discuss and if we were interested we would call him back. Oh boy! He start walking out of the house very fast and was obviously annoyed at us and aggravated that he had come to the appointment at all. I kept saying thank you for coming and he barely answered me back - no hand shake at the end... I would have expected that at least he would have tried to sell me what they could offer (i.e. maybe I was thinking on doing something different but he could have explain why his work was better), that they could give me options that were not part of the sales pitch (i.e. I said I was looking something different than granite - he could have replied that granite comes in 20,000 different varieties and they not all look the same!), that at least they would make an effort on asking me questions and taking notes, or that they would be able to maintain a poker face and be polite at the end. Oh well! I would need to find another vendor that can help me :-)
