Abraham came out to inspect the roof of a recently purchased home. He told us the roof was 5-10 years old and we did not require a new roof. Abraham, however, pointed out several areas of the roof that needed minor attention to make sure we maintained the roof and keep it in good condition. My assessment is that My Construction Group is an honest company that will not replace your roof just to replace your roof to make a sale. Their recommendation to hire a handyman to repair some minor roof problems as a result of normal wear and tear was extremely helpful and appreciated. When our roof needs to be replaced we will use My Construction Group.

I contacted Mr. Roofing in response to repairing a leaky roof. Instead of repairing the section of roof that was leaking, they recommended replacing the whole roof. The roofers were punctual and cleaned up after themselves each day, and they completed the job a week later than originally estimated due to manufacturer's delays with the shingles. Cosmos Roofing gave us a bid on replacing our roof. We had an old shingle roof, so lots to tear off. We picked out a comp roof and a whole crew came over and they started in on our roof. tearing off, replacing gutters, painted valleys and jacks to match the roof. Westshore Roofing Inc
The roofing work done by Westshore roofing was part of a larger job to insulate an addition on my house. The addition has a flat roof so I decided to use blown-in cellulose. The flat roof also had some external duct-work that penetrated the old roof (for ceiling registers). Another company would remove and re-install the duct-work, and a third company would install the insulation. The estimate I got from Westshore roofing was not the cheapest, but relatively close. The superior IB roof system made the choice to go with Westshore roofing easy. Westshore roofing was very flexible in scheduling so I could have everything done in a week. After the new roof was put back on, they even came back the next day to work with the people who would put the ductwork back, to make sure the duct work was "compatible" with the new roof. The guys were very friendly, did the work in the expected timeframe, and cleaned up well after themselves.

Steve took the time to explain potential issues and discuss the pros & cons of re-roofing our home. In the end, he didn't recommend re-roofing. I never felt pressured to get a new roof and really appreciated his time to do a visual inspection around the home and on the roof. Excellent. From estimation to execution, the team was impeccable. The recommendations were appropriate and accurate. The backdrop: all other roofers stated I needed a new roof. My roof is only 3 years old!! I called Eastman for a new roof; Eastman estimator recommended I repair instead. He looked at the roof and nailed the repairs; he estimated the roof had another 10-12 years life left!! So - a new roof at $27,000 versus Eastman's approximately $800 !!!

I was not at home during the installation but overall it went well. My husband was very pleased with the work and the work was completed in a timely fashion. Also leading up to the work, we got very good advice about the best roof venting system to install and we feel that they gave us the cheaper but better way to go in roofing over the old roof rather than a complete re-roofing. We had accessibility issues and therefore extra difficulty and expense of packing out the old roofing material so roofing over the old roof was the better way to go.

Recent Review: I have a very complex old roof with poor ventilation. I had never truly understood the best solution for my situation until I spoke with Jason Easton from Arocon.. He explained to me my situation and proposed optimal solutions for our roof. He was even willing to come and speak with my neighborhood board to explain the differences in roofing solutions.. They were as impressive by his knowledge and experience as I was. It was a pleasure to work with him and Arocon and I will continue to consult with them on any future roofing needs that we might have. Eric informed us that our roof has the lifespan of approximately 30-40 years and that the discoloration was do to algae and that all the roof needed at this time was a good cleaning. Ken did a great job, sealed what was need. he also gave a fair and honest statement on the roof condition, pointed out some trivial maintenance (sweeping off pine needles and followed up with on of the best estimates we have seen to date.
