B&G CarpentryI built a new garage with G&B that started in October 2019, and ended in May 2020. They told me it would take 90 days instead it took them 7 months. I would not build with them again, poor quality, poor communication. I was constantly, checking on the work of the subs. G&B was rarely on the job site. CnK's Home Maintenance and RepairLong story short the first contractor that I hired (which was not from this company) took off with part of my insurance claim money that was suppose to be used for materials. My insurance wouldn’t allow me to turn in anymore estimates and refused to help pay for another contractor. If I had the money I had originally started with I have no doubt that I would of hired CNK’s Home Maintenance & Repair. Very friendly and up front. Tried their hardest to get within my budget range. Affordable Building ConceptsThe lead guy was Mike Mathis. He knows his stuff. It was a 24' x 36' ft full two story garage attached with an enclosed 8' x 24' breezeway. The garage has nice plywood finished walls and ceilings, fully insulated, and with lots of electrical outlets. For my purposes, I needed the top floor to be able to hold a lot of weight, so the garage was built much stronger than what is required for codes. It is partially embedded in a hill, so great care was taken to seal the cinder block foundation and provide water drainage. I did need to correct some small details along the way such as the garage doors were supposed to have windows and they initially didn't and I had to remind him that I wanted plywood on the walls and ceilings. Also, one of the garage door openers stopped working a couple weeks after the garage was finished and it took 3 phone calls and two months to get somebody to come out and fix it. Other than that, I am very happy with the job.- DEVON W.

In the last couple of years they've added a greenhouse, transformed our sideyard with raised beds, and built a beautiful art barn/three car garage. Excellent work! Every step of the process of working with Ground Up was easy and reassuring. Russ was the project supervisor who started the process by taking a look at our foundation and a couple of areas that needed attention. He reviewed the project thoroughly and asked very specific questions about what we wanted to do. I really appreciated the care and thought that was put into making sure that we were on the same page about the work to be done. He explained everything very thoroughly (in words that I could understand!), and I felt really good about having them do the work after talking the project through with Russ. All this before I even got the quote! I hired them, and I am beyond satisfied with the work and the service. Carter and his team showed up to do the work, and it was clear that Russ had communicated the job clearly to the team, and i didn't even need to speak to Russ after that. Carter did a great job, kept me updated on the progress, and they showed up when they said they would. They were very respectful of the interior of our home, keeping things clean. They did a terrific job on the foundation and replaced the entire vapor barrier. On top of it all, they removed the old jacks and some old rusted steal pipes that the previous owner left in our crawlspace. I didn't ask them to, but it was clearly trash, and they offered to remove it, which was above and beyond. Can't say enough about what a relief it is to know that the house is sitting on a firm foundation, and for such an important repair, it feels really good to work with a team that inspired confidence every step of the way. I would gladly hire them again. They did excellent work and gave me a warranty on top of it. To Russ and Carter and the rest of the team, thank you very much! I'm so grateful for the wonderful job you did to stabilize the home that my family sleeps in.

We had someone come out and give an estimate for a fence, got a pretty fair quote. Call two weeks later to try to get some details worked out since we had to coordinate with neighbors etc, find out that our quote has went up $1100. All-Star then responded to my google review with "there was a 4-6% increase in our material" soooo then how did my price jump 18.9%? What a waste of time.
