I found that the block option “Title Character Limit” somehow had become 0 while it used to be just empty. Trying to clear the field, I find that that is not possible (anymore)… The only way to clear that field is to delete the block and recreate it again without touching the “Title Character Limit” field.
So:
1. When the title character limit is set to 0, the post titles become “Post Title” instead of being empty or showing completely (as suggested by the block appearance itself) … at the same time, a negative value is possible too while this also results in a discrepancy between the block’s behavior on the backend and front end.
2. The text “Leave empty to show full title.” below that field suggest that (once the setting has been touched) this is somehow still an option. The Chrome browser however does not allow a field of type=”number” to be changed to anything else but a number.
