Our ~ 3 year old Electrolux Refrigerator-Freezer stopped working on a Friday. I called 4 appliance repair companies, all listed on Angies List. All four told me that they did not service Electrolux, and that I would have to contact Electrolux to get a factory service rep sent out. I called Electrolux, and the service center they referred me to in Fremont was out of business. I then call Gil at GilTech, and he said no problem, he would come out and see what part was defective, chase down the right part, and get our refrigerator going. He was very clear that it might take a return visit, if it was an uncommon part. Gil came out on Sunday, quickly diagnosed the problem, and it turned out to be a defective sensor that is common to most refrigerator brands. Gil had one with him on his truck, showed me that it matched the one in my refrigerator, and installed the unit. Refrigerator came right up, and was working properly. Gil also noticed that the freezer door slides were out of alignment, causing a gap in the door seal gasket, and that was likely cause of frequent ice build-up in freezer compartment. Gil adjusted the door slides, showed me how the door seal now had no gaps. Refrigerator has been working fine ever since, and freezer is staying ice free. I really liked Gil's can-do, problem-solved approach. Very fair pricing, came out on a Sunday to get us going.
