Answered phone immediately, and was on site within 2 hours on a Saturday. We live out in the country , a good distance from his shop, but he came right out anyway. I thought the compressor in the refrigerator had gone out, but Luan debugged the problem and found that a much less expensive sensor was defective. He had the spare part on his truck, and was able to fix within the same visit. very prompt, very honest.

Our ~ 3 year old Electrolux Refrigerator-Freezer stopped working on a Friday. I called 4 appliance repair companies, all listed on Angies List. All four told me that they did not service Electrolux, and that I would have to contact Electrolux to get a factory service rep sent out. I called Electrolux, and the service center they referred me to in Fremont was out of business. I then call Gil at GilTech, and he said no problem, he would come out and see what part was defective, chase down the right part, and get our refrigerator going. He was very clear that it might take a return visit, if it was an uncommon part. Gil came out on Sunday, quickly diagnosed the problem, and it turned out to be a defective sensor that is common to most refrigerator brands. Gil had one with him on his truck, showed me that it matched the one in my refrigerator, and installed the unit. Refrigerator came right up, and was working properly. Gil also noticed that the freezer door slides were out of alignment, causing a gap in the door seal gasket, and that was likely cause of frequent ice build-up in freezer compartment. Gil adjusted the door slides, showed me how the door seal now had no gaps. Refrigerator has been working fine ever since, and freezer is staying ice free. I really liked Gil's can-do, problem-solved approach. Very fair pricing, came out on a Sunday to get us going.

De Anza Appliance

Great! No hassle, job done right. When I made an appointment they gave me a half-day window and asked for the dishwasher model number. I phoned in the model number next day. On the day of the appointment they gave me a two hour window. The technician showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and replaced the part. (He brought the part, since he knew the model.) He checked for good operation, cleaned up the spilled water, took my payment and we were done. They give a warranty in case you're not satisfied.

De Anza Appliance

De Anza Appliance showed themselves to be a professional organization concerned about their customers and their needs. They worked in order to insure that they were able to fit us into the schedule prior to the holiday season (Christmas). The office personnel were responsive, courteous and understood the business. They were able to work with Electrolux to insure that we were promptly taken through the process so that an appointment could be booked as early as possible. The field personnel (technicians) are knowledgeable, courteous as well and able to diagnose and effect a repair in a very expeditious and rapid manner. They were able to understand what needed to be done and conduct the repair within 20-30 minutes. I highly recommend De Anza Appliance and will be using them as a our appliance service provider of choice.

Our upper oven of a double oven unit would not heat. We suspected that the baking element was burned out and so called for repair. This call was during a weekend. On Monday morning I received a call back. I was asked to check several things to confirm that it really was the element and not something else. I was given guidance on where to look for serial and model numbers. I was told that the part would need to be ordered and that they would call me back to schedule the repair. At this time I was informed of the labor and call out charges and was given an estimate of the element cost. I received a call back on Tuesday morning letting me know the part had been located and they would have it on hand before noon. The work was scheduled for "late afternoon" on Tuesday following other jobs that had been previously scheduled. At this time, the receptionist confirmed the labor and call out charges and gave me the exact cost of the element. Because of storm weather and resulting traffic issues, the repairman was delayed. Both the repairman and the office kept us informed about delays and estimated arrival times. Repairman contacted us when en route as traffic was extremely bad (news reports agreed with his information.) He was willing to come early Tuesday evening but we opted for Wednesday morning instead. We set the time at 10 AM and he arrived a few minutes after 10. Again he called when en route to let us know he was running a few minutes late. The repairman was very careful to protect our counter tops and cabinets while performing the work. He was also thorough in making sure that replacing the element would resolve the complete problem. When I mentioned that I thought the oven had been running a little cooler than the temp we set, he checked the level and found that it was running low. He adjusted that as well at no additional charge. He also showed me how to reset it myself when/if it starts running low again.

Eng Electric

I have a long term service contract with Expert Protection. They assigned Eng to my service call. I looked on Angie'l list and there was nothing but Yelp had quite a few most of which were not too good. I worried. It required 3 visits by Zoran who is a one-man operation. None of the extra visits were due to incompetence or anything like that. He knew what to do and when he got the part he did it and my oven is self-cleaning as I write this. Zoran is Serbian in origin but his English is fine. He is not a garrulous person but he is friendly and pleasant. I would definitely use him again.

J & H Microwave & Appliance

I purchased an Electrolux Double Oven in August, 2010, for my new kitchen. Our house had burned down on 12/25/08 and we rebuilt it and moved back in on August 20, 2010. It was a high end, expensive Double Oven with lots of computer controls. The oven started having problems in December, 2011 while still in warranty. After I cleaned the bottom oven, it would not heat up over 100 deg. So, Standards of Excellence where I purchased the oven, sent J and H Microwave out to do an in-warranty repair. From March, 2011, until December, 2011, J and H came out 10 times to fix this oven - all in-warranty repairs (I purchased a 3-year extended warranty after the oven started having problems). They always came out within a few days of being called. They usually had to come out first, determine the problem and then order the parts and come back to install them. It usually took from 4-7 days for them to get the parts. They were alway prompt, always came within the timeframe they gave me and did the repair work quickly. If they had any questions about what part to replace, they called the engineers at Electrolux. They replaced three parts in the oven before the problem was fixed. Then - another problem came up with the top oven. The temp would vary from 150 to 200 deg. higher than the temp I set it at. They replaced two parts for this problem and it failed to fix the problem. There were no more parts to replace! Now, both myself and J and H were saying that the oven needed to be replaced. Scott Munger contacted their Electrolux rep to replace the oven, but Electrolux was not cooperating and they were giving him a hard time. Scott fought the battle with Electrolux, even preparing a long repair report over the Christmas Holidays on his own time! He would not give up until they consented to the replacement! I have never had a repair company fight for me. Most would have just told me to contact Electrolux to fight the battle! I appreciate so much what he did. My new oven was replaced on 2/7/12 and has been working well with none of the previous problems!

APPLIANCE MASTER SERVICE & REPAIR
5.0
I would highly recommend Appliance Masters, Jim the Owner is very knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, clean and honest. I have a 5 year old Electrolux refrigerator that the ice maker and water dispenser quit working. I called Jim and he quickly returned my call and gave me a few ideas over the phone to see if it might be something that I could fix without a service call charge. It wasn't something simple so Jim came by later the same morning and thoroughly inspected the appliance. It was determined that it would be a costly fix (due to cost of parts), after discussing my options I decided to go without fixing, I will wait until the refrigerator no longer holds cold temperature and then I will replace. Jim spent time on the phone with me and then a good amount of time at my home inspecting the refrigeratior, I definately feel that he was very fair with his service charge! He will be my go to appliance repair man.
