I am a home owner in Southwest Florida, for a number of years we have struggled with excessive temperatures in our attic. The heat from the attic could not escape and would force itself into our home. During peak summer it was very uncomfortable, The AC was struggling to keep up and eventualy burnt out. Not to mention the heat was causing the Crown molding to separate from the walls and ceiling. We dreaded the Summer month's.
After replacing both the inside and outside AC units I was worried our new units would also be overworked and burn out. Also while doing some research on this issue, I found out that the excessive heat could Cause the wood in the attic to become brittle. I had to do something! Through further research I started to read up on attic exhaust fans and came across the highly reviewed Yellow Blue Solar Fans. Seemed very promising so I placed an inquiry.
The very next day I was contacted by Devin with So Icy insulation. He was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and how to approach fixing my problems. We set a date for him to visit my house, On that day Devin arrived on time which is important to me because I don't have much time to spare. His greeting was exceptional which gave me a great feeling right from the start. Devin went in to my attic and probably spent about an hour up there I don't know how he made it out it was so hot. When he came out he had a full picture for me of photographs and videos and really gave me a true understanding of what was occurring in my attic. His knowledge of the situation was exactly what I had hoped for, His Passion for his work was very encouraging. Devin came up with a real plan on how we can tackle this problem. It involved a little bit more than just a Solar Fan, The way Devon was able to explain things gave me real clarity and understanding. Once I knew his plan I could see it was going to work so I agreed to his plan. This has proven to be one of the best decisions I've made with my home and Devin has proven to be one of the most valuable visitors we have ever had come to our home. Needless to say our home has been transformed, I am so grateful for So Icy Insulation and the work they've done here at our home, we no longer have any of the previous problems that we were experiencing. A matter of fact our only problem now has been trying to relearn the thermostat controls!
My sincere thanks to Devin and his Co worker for all there hard work, I don't know how they survived up there but they got the job done!

The salesperson was polite and informative. Up front about cost and though he offered other services he advised me of those services but no hard sales pitch. On the actual service date the gentalman blowing in my consolation were extremely professional and they did a great job. They explained exactly what they did and cleaned up any mess the insulation made. Extremely satisfied with this company.

I had the rafters in the garage filled with spray foam. It absolutely works to reduce the afternoon and evening temperature in the garage here in St Pete, FL. I believe however, that application of spray foam may assume that the foam will be covered with drywall, or, generally be not visible. In my case, it is visible and it appears that perhaps more care could have been given to a neater visible product on the ceiling of the garage. i.e. over spray on the ceiling beams/joyce. There was no overspray to the lower portions of the garage walls nor the floor, and great care was given to protect them. Half of their time here was spent on preparation for the spray. THAT was much appreciated. I do recommend Energy Monster for your spray foam needs, just be aware that if you plan on not covering the foam, it may appear to be messy, I may use them again to insulate the 8X12 storage shed in the backyard. I actually should have included it in my garage project as I think they have a minimum charge and we paid the minimum charge that could have possibly included the shed.
