Welcome to SIGCOMM 2020

The organizing committee is delighted to invite you to ACM SIGCOMM 2020, which will be held virtually (online) during August 10--14, 2020. SIGCOMM is the flagship annual conference of the ACM Special Interest Group on Data Communication (SIGCOMM) on the applications, technologies, architectures, and protocols for computer communication.

We are excited to have such a tremendous set of registrations from folks around the world. In order to accommodate the various timezones, the workshop schedule includes session and event instances at different timezones. As of August 8, we have over 600 registrations from 52+ countries. Here is a map of participation:

One of the most important parts of a conference is the ability to interact -- from accidentally meeting new people in the lunch line and one-off conversations to the groups that form around posters, opportunistic meetings and communications lead to new ideas and foster relationships in our community. SIGCOMM 2020 will be an interactive event, leveraging platforms and technologies to create virtual realms where attendees can move around and interact with authors, digital whiteboarding, and even electronic tours. There will also be moderated events to help you get connected with others, from discussion groups, to mini-panels, and more. This SIGCOMM will be completely different than any SIGCOMM you have ever attended. You won't want to miss it!

Register for SIGCOMM 2020

There is just a single registration for all events (main conference, tutorials, workshops). The registration cost is $40 for members, $15 for student members, $80 for non-members, and $30 for student non-members.

Attending SIGCOMM online

SIGCOMM will conduct online discussions via Slack channels. First, join the SIGCOMM slack workspace here: Join the SIGCOMM slack workspace

Each workshop and tutorial has a separate Slack channel accessible through the corresponding webpages. There is a separate Slack channel for each technical session of the main conference, accessible from the conference program page.

There are specific Slack channels that you might find interesting:

#sigcomm2020-general: Announcements and general discussion
#sigcomm2020-hallway: A place for random, watercooler-style discussions
#sigcomm2020-help: A place to notify the organizational committee and support staff about technical issues and other problems
