Shawn worked with our designer to build 2 custom bathroom vanities for our master bath remodel. He installed the vanities and made adjustments after the custom countertops were installed. He went above and beyond to make sure the cabinets were perfect. He also installed the cabinet hardware.

Owner Frank's suggested cabinet color was a great choice. Cabinet doors and drawers were sanded and painted off-site as was the door trim we had selected to be installed and painted. The crew made good use of their time and completely cleaned up the work area at the end of each day. They refaced the cabinetry in the kitchen and installed the sliding pantry shelves. Jesse also accurately installed hardware on our cabinets and drawers which never had hardware before as they were designed to be opened using grooves on the door/drawer edges. Special kudos to Jesse who worked around a complicated pantry door issue with great results. He is highly skilled and conscientious about quality results as are Frank and Jason. The few minor issues that cropped up were properly addressed and all involved were committed to our satisfaction. When the project was completed, I was able to utilize more of my pantry space which made my tiny galley kitchen much more functional.

Handyman Connection - San Antonio

It was a perfect experience except they are pricier than I thought. Their minimum charge as of 9/1/08 is $83 per workman they send out. For instance, I needed my light fixtures swapped and installed, and cabinet hardware installed on my kitchen cabinets. They sent an electrician and a handyman. When I started getting estimates from handymen, I expected just one person, but it was explained to me that Handyman Connection only wants people qualified in a particular type of work, electrician, painter, etc. to do the work. The price for installing the kitchen cabinet hardware and fixing the outdoor cabinets alone was $165.00. The electrician charge was $220.00. The handyman they sent me was Bill Slough. He did a really great job, and I recommend asking for him. It turned out that each piece of cabinet hardware had different measurements for drilling holes. Bill had to measure each piece to install correctly. He was very patient and did an excellent job. I guess the devil IS in the details because at the L shaped counter one piece of hardware had to be shortened to allow a drawer to open. Bill took the piece to his truck and sawed off the fixture to fit. In addition to the work contracted for, he also spackled the holes left in the kitchen ceiling by the electrician, and left me the jar of spackle to use in case it needed more. I had the cabinet hardware and wood backing for the cabinet when Bill came. He came prepared with all the tools he needed. Bill actually vacuumed the dust from inside each cabinet and drawer. He left the outdoor cabinet in better shape than I thought it could be. It now stays closed without the wooden stick I was using. I like that Handyman Connection does background checks on its employees, and having the one year guarantee on the work. Also, I tried getting estimates from other Handymen, but they were all busy; maybe this was just too small of a job for them. Handyman Connection was available when I needed them.

The price for the lights alone was $220.00. The handyman charge was $165.00. The electrician they sent me was John Castilleja. He did a really great job, and I recommend asking for him. I had the fixtures and cabinet hardware when they came. They came prepared with all the tools they needed. John actually had to use some of the hardware he had in his vehicle to install the fixture in the garage. He just gave me a $2.00 invoice for the toggle bolts he had to use. I like having the one year guarantee on the work.

Triple R

Homer and his entire crew provided exceptional customer service and quality workmanship refinishing our kitchen cabinets. In addition, they installed cabinet hardware and crown molding for a very fair price and even installed shoe base at no extra charge, exceeding our expectations. The project began the day we signed the contract all work was completed in a timely manner. To top it all off, the project price was very competitive. We had been told by a couple of other companies that our cabinets could not be refinished showing the wood grain as we wanted. Triple R completed our project exactly as we wanted it!

As per his routine when he remodelled our master bathroom in 2013 - he arrived on time as promised everyday of work, took one short lunch break, after gutting the bathroom, he assessed what other supplies we would need other than those we had already purchased and accompanied us to the local Lowes/Home Depot to get thinset, caulking, copper piping, etc for project. He did a wonderful professional job - even down to installing the new cabinets' hardware for opening and closing drawers and cabinet doors. Great job - couldn't be more pleased! Excellent craftsman - professional worker, honest, trustworthy, with excellent skill sets!

MDS Construction

I've wanted to update my kitchen and bathrooms since I purchased my house, but I was terrified by the idea of trusting a contractor to do the job. I've heard too many "contractor horror stories", so I put the job off for years. After MDS came highly recommended by a close friend, I decided to take the plunge and give Scott a call. I was impressed from the moment he arrived. He listened to my ideas and had a few of his own (which ultimately helped me to get what I wanted at a price I could afford). I'd say what MOST impressed me was that he was just as passionate about my project as I was... He always made me feel like I was his only customer (which is amazing, because I know that he is in high demand). From the initial consult, to the bid, to the project start-date to the completion... I dealt directly with Scott. He made himself available by phone/text/email... I never went more than a couple of hours without an answer to a question (no matter how big or small). In addition, he gave me daily updates, explaining each step as it came along. The job only took a week to complete, which still amazes me, considering the amount of work that was done (we're talking about a total transformation in my large kitchen and 3 bathrooms)... and the quality of the work is impeccable. Every person on Scott's team was professional/courteous and I felt 100% comfortable with them in my home. They showed up on time and did exactly what they said they would do WHEN they said they would do it. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other bids that I received, and Scott found a way to give me everything that I wanted with my budget. The original bid was the price that I paid, even though (1) painting my oak cabinets ended up being more of a challenge than painting typical cabinets because of the deep ridges in the wood and (2) installing my kitchen backsplash was more time consuming because of the tiny glass tiles that I chose (lots of attention to detail!) Regardless, the original quote never changed. Looking back, I expected this experience to be kind of a pain... but Scott and his team made it painless... actually, it was fun! I've been joking with my friends that, now that I've found such an amazing contractor, I've got the "home improvement bug." :-) How could I not, now that I know of a contractor who is honest, reliable, shows up on time and does an incredible job! I'm looking forward to my next project, rather than dreading it. And Scott will by my first (and only) call.

Ted did a superb job on a wide variety of tasks. His company was very responsive, conscientious, and eager to please. His price was one-fifth of that estimated by a much larger company that sponsors a weekend home improvement show on local radio. Quality was excellent. I highly recommend this company.
