What can I say, Kevin who heads up Southeastern Spray Foam is the best. I had several companies quote retrofitting my home with spray foam before I met with Kevin. The prices were wildly variant! Some much more expensive, some similar and I did have 2 less than him. But I felt very confident in his experience, guidance and his personal integrity in running an ethical business with assured quality in their outcomes. Glad I worked with him, I am very happy with the outcome. I had blown in cellulose in the attic and as I had an upstairs HVAC & ducting also in the attic, as the cellulose degraded, the extra dust it generated was being picked up by HVAC system and circulating into my living space. This was significantly degrading my indoor air quality. Southeastern removed all the cellulose (huge, huge, labor intensive job) and then retrofitted my attic with spray foam. The outcome? Much improved interior temperature control -big reduction in utility costs- as well as much more consistent indoor humidity levels - bringing the hvac system into the conditioned building envelope meant it no longer had to compete against the hot, humid attic air and was no longer pushing moist air into the living areas. Additionally, incredible improvement in the air quality, reduction in dust and overall home comfort greatly improved. Happy every day with the investment in installing spray foam and very happy with the services from Kevin Pope & Southeastern Spray Foam.

The owner explained things the other companies did not mention. Things like the quality of blown insulation varies and cheap blown insulation like sold at Do It Yourself stores is not the same as top quality insulation. I got the spray on Radiant barrier applied to the roof sheathing and enough blown insulation added on top of the existing insulation to add R30 to what was already there. It has been two days since installation and I can tell that my AC unit does not work as hard to keep the house cool. Also the swing in temperatures at night have decreased. Looking forward to seeing how much lower my utilities will be. JAM insulation is highly recommended. James is the owner and he knows his stuff.

HES spray foamed both my home attic (open cell) and basement (closed cell), the attic of my rental, and removed the old blown-in insulation from the home. Steve and Jason were very easy to work with, their pricing is great, they were very flexible with my schedule, and worked to resolve minor issues very quickly.The crew was thorough, kept the place clean, and did an excellent job on attic insulation.
HES used a subcontractor to remove the blown-in insulation. The insulation over the soffit was not adequately removed and as a result the spray foam in those corners of the attic has not adequately adhered - exposing big uncovered gaps in the envelope. In the basement, I asked for a small area to not be foamed due to ongoing electrical work but other larger areas were left unfinished and insulation has already started to separate from floor joists - again opening the insulation envelope to air gaps. Because Iâ m not adverse to fixing those things myself, and because HES price was great, I see those as minor issues.
One of the crew accidentally stepped through the attic floor and penetrating the living room
ceiling (it happens!) and Steve and Jason had it fixed within 24 hrs.
I would use HES again on future projects and have already recommended them to friends and clients
