Quality Built Pergolas

My goodness people just read the other 1 Star Reviews (on Google) and don't become a VICTIM of this fraudster Don McSwain and his scam crew (Levi & Jessica.) I will be brief, signed a contract in December 2020 for a build in July and paid a deposit. They straight up ghosted me and I had to send a Panic linkedIN message to Don the owner to get a response. Literally the Friday before my Pavilion was to be built (after an 8 month contract) Don calls me and informs me he doesn't have the skillset, resources, nor the capabilities to build my Pavilion. He showed Zero empathy and offered to refund my money less his costs including a $108 payment processing fee on my deposit. Not even an apology for setting my project back an entire year â shame on me for putting my trust in this company. This company signs contracts, holds your money & then cancels on you. They even try to keep your money through B.S. Don't be Victim like me. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau!

You can always tell a good company when they know how to handle an issue. Jessica, service coordinator and Levi, the installer, really took care of our job and cared about the outcome. Our Pergola is beautiful and they rose to the occasion, even with a minor hiccup along the way. I highly recommend Quality Built Pergolas! I am a retired general contractor and these people run their company like I ran mine. The communication and quality was excellent!!

They were very helpful and patient in walking us through the process and which decisions would be best for our backyard!

These people were delightful, professional, provided high quality work, clean up and follow up. I asked them to design something they had not previously done, and did an excellent job of designing the change and implementing it. I couldn't be happier with their work.

I got several quotes from companies that specialize in pergolas. I wanted something that was contemporary while keeping cost and quality in mind. I also wanted to customize a few things to allow for limited sun exposure without having a full cover on top as our yard faces West. I worked with Tony who is a sales rep for the company. He wasn’t pushy and came prepared to walk me through their offerings. We exchanged several texts and calls as I kept coming up with mind blowing ideas every hour (ok maybe I was just crazy). Regardless, he was attentive and addressed every suggestion. The village took about 2 months to approve my permit due to Covid and limited resources and it was finally time for the install. Levi was our installer. If I owned this company, Levi is who I’d want working for me. He treated us as if he owned the company himself and was very attentive to me pointing out things before he was even done with the job. He assured me everything will be fine once the pergola is up, things are sealed and a final coat of paint is applied. He was absolutely correct. There were some issues that I addressed and Levi did everything in his control to make things the way we wanted. The wood comes from the mill and the two boards in the front of our pergola were not aligned as they were/are different in size by about a half inch. The two boards meet in the middle of our pergola as it’s about 28ft wide. He shaved off where the boards meet and made it look as seamless as possible. The wood from the mill is also very rough and while it gives it a rustic look it can cause splinters if somebody was to rub against it. The only thing I wish I knew ahead of time was how the wood felt. We may get it sanded down in the future as we have a basketball court attached to our patio and kids may run into the wood. As of now it looks great and we’re just waiting on some touch up paint or paint codes so we can go and buy paint from Sherwin Williams. I highly recommend working with this company.

Quality Built Pergolas has been top notch from start to finish. We are so grateful we found them to design and build the pergola of our dreams. From the planning with Mark and scheduling with Jessica, to the installation with Levi, this project has been seamless. Customer service, communication, and follow up have been awesome.
