Houston Vinyl Siding Installation

I WAS LOOKING FOR A SIDING CREW. I HAVE MY OWN SIDING. I JUST NEED A CREW TO INSTALL IT. I'M SURE THESE COMPANY'S HAVE SUB CREWS BUT THEY WON'T GIVE THAT INFO OUT. I'M STILL LOOKING!!!!!

The were some communication issues at first. I had made a note on the invoice for my own reference that confused the issue. Once sorted out things moved along well. My only complaint was they were less than prompt at returning calls. Email seems to be the preferred contact method. The work was performed over a three day period. The guys did high quality work. They took pride in what they did, a rare quality. Clean up was very good with just a nail or two left lying about. I would use them again and can recommend them without hesitation.

Allside returned my call right away and came by to give an estimate for new vinyl siding. Their prices were fairly reasonable and they showed me samples to choose from and explained the warranty and the advantages of vinyl siding. The installation was scheduled as soon as the siding was available and the installers were right on time. They did an excellent job, cleaned up all the mess and left the yard in tiptop shape.

Siding had to pass inspection for a WDI 8 certificate for approval of wind storm insurance that required a hurricane engineer. Job was approved.

They do excellent work. I was very pleased with the professionalism, workmanship, and quality of the material. They left the place spotless when they finished.

11/12/08 rcvd siding bid from Camp Roofing & Construction. 11/24/08 a vm left for Steve McDowell, decided to go with their company & would like a start date. Spoke with Steve on 11/26/08 and he stated would call 11/29/08 with start date. 11/29/08 said start next week & signed the contract. Steve & James arrived on 12/1/08 to review the job. Rcvd call needed to chg estimate, would extra $559 for plywood as underlayment. Agreed Steve would foot all, but $250 & work would begin next morning at 7. When no one showed by 9, called Steve who stated had left a msg the night before. I had no msgs. Stated unable to start the work that day as their "break machine" was missing or stolen. Stated James was looking for the equip would call btwn 12 & 1 with when to start install. No call by 2 pm, lft vm for Steve. Called the ofc & s/w Troy said had not heard from Steve and needed info. Asked what the problem was. Explained what had been told before. Request to s/w owner or manager. Said no one was in ofc, but would have someone call asap. Rcvd no call by next am, called Steve, left vm. Called the ofc, rcvd a recording x3. Called Steve's cell at 10. Said s/w Troy last pm & told unable to do install due to the loss of equip & didn't wish to buy any more. Stated had a signed contract & they were responsible for contracted services. He stated would s/w Troy. Asked for the name of co-owner, stated owned by Troy and James. Rcvd cb from Steve, s/w Troy, would do install, but did not know when & didn't wish to buy more equip.

This was a horrible experience!! I had recently removed a carport from the side of my house and discovered a large section which was missing the siding. I guess the carport was there first and when the siding was installed about twenty years ago they just were unable to get between the carport and the house, so the area was left undone. I do not know who originally installed the siding, however, after I realized this I needed someone to come out and fix the problem. All I needed was for this section of siding to be installed. When the guy from "Framing & Siding Construction" came out I was told there was some wood which needed to be replaced before the siding could be installed and was give this price. Well, when the work was done I watched what was going on and even though I paid for the wood to be replaced they decided it was not necessary. Additionally, they did not bring the correct color of siding. My siding is a pale gray and they brought a brown and painted it in the back yard, a slate green color. It looked terrible. I was so mad I just wanted them to get the siding up and leave. I later had to paint the siding myself to get it to match the rest of the house. I left a bad review on the website where I had found this company. They call me and offered to refund some of my money if I would remove my review. I refused and was never refunded the money I paid for work that was not done.

I contacted All State to get a quote for two projects: 1) to replace the metal cladding/trim that forms the interface between the stucco and vinyl siding and 2) replace all siding throughout my townhome complex. Jimmy (the owner) came out and looked over the project and recommended that we actually hold off on the project as it would not provide sufficient benefits for us. This kind of refreshing honesty is hard to come. I greatly valued Jimmy's observations and recommendations. I will, without question, be reaching out to All State should I have any other siding or window needs.

The experience was excellent starting with Jim coming out and explaining the entire process, measuring and giving me a bid. After accepting 2 other bids, I chose Allstate because of the knowledge, breadth of service outlined, and the price. They sent all requests to my homeowners' association, and the work began as soon as the rains stopped. My house looks brand new. People stop me on the street to tell me how wonderful it is! Any question I had was promptly answered by Mike or Mary in the office. I'd use this company again!

The team came on a Monday morning, set up and began work the next day. The weather prevented the job from being completed that first week so the team had to come back the following week. They were prompt and did everything I asked them to do. They cleaned up all debris, stacked ladders, and stored tools before leaving each night. I am very happy with the knowledge, quality of materials, and quality of workmanship. I love the look of the new vinyl and am very glad I did not use Hardi Plank.
