But basic $14.99/month plan works perfectly just like an old style alarm system. AdeptechRick did a fantastic job. Superb installation.He had pre-wired my entire house when it was being constructed and did a nice job with that. So we called him back to install our home theater in the basement.Rick did a superb job installing the projector in the ceiling and wall mounting the projector screen and calibrating the projector to the screen.He then installed a 5.1 in ceiling speaker system from episode speakers. He then wired all the components and hid them nicely in a closet. Very satisfied with the experience. We are having him come back to install my whole house audio. He installed our home security and exterior cameras last year for us and did a great job with that. Honest and punctual. We purchased the screen and Episode speakers from him. These not so well known speakers are well reviewed and available only through custom installers and sound excellent in our basement.- Puvi S.

Pat, the installer, showed up within the window (3 to 5). He was very knowledgeable....and professional. Highly recommend these guys. The system is really high tech and state of the art. HANSON AUDIO VIDEOI first got exposed to Hanson at the 2013 Homearama in Liberty Twp, where they did basement A/V on like 3 houses. I was hooked on the integration and connectivity they were promoting and knew I wanted to do business with them when the time came to finish my basement. One day while in Dayton, I decided to pop in to their shop for a visit. I don't recommend this unless you're feeling lucky because these guys are pretty much appointment driven. Chris spent a few minutes with me discussing my concept but he pretty much told me to come back when I've got specs and measurements for the layout of my basement. I left that first visit feeling like Chris was an a** but rather than get upset I heeded his advice. Fast forward a couple months and I made my return to Hanson with a plan and an appointment. I sat down with Troy Hanson and we discussed my budget and what sorts of things I wanted for my basement. After the discussion Troy came back with a very detailed quote to support my ultimate Man Cave. Our next discussion was spent tweaking a few items, negotiating prices, and clarifying intent. Ultimately, we had a deal. 3 flat screen TVs, a 110'' movie screen, projector, ceiling mount speakers, Paradigm tower speakers and sub woofer, and a Control4 system--inclusive of electronic door lock for my front door. Not to mention Troy built a plan that allowed me to utilize the numerous Bose speakers I've collected over my adulthood. Troy even offered to design a home theatre concept which I subsequently used for my project. He took the time to look of pictures of my concepts throughout the rest of the basement, asked about the room's theme and so on. All of this was so that he could draft up a home theatre that would fit with the rest of the basement. It was an awesome design and was included in their overall service fee. Additionally, I decided to purchase my theatre seating through Hanson. I bought 3 Palliser electronic recliners. I have not received them yet due to a backlog and delay with the manufacturer but I expect them to be top notch. The chairs were just over $5000. Installation was smooth and the installers were extremely professional. From the pre-wire date to the actual installation, everyone I encountered was very professional. Marques Sitter, they read installer, took time to teach me my system and guaranteed his availability for future questions. I gave them a B on price simply because they aren't cheap. Hanson delivers awesome and high quality audio video solutions. I would definitely recommend them to others and I would use them again.- Marcus T.

The rating is for the estimate/service charge, not work performed. Previously I have been very happy with Apollo but I have noticed in the past 1-2 years, they have gotten extremely pricey and always seem to push for other services or mention all of the extraneous things that could go wrong (seems very fear-based selling - may not be the tech's fault for having to do this, could be coming from corporate.) The tech told me there was some rust in my electric panel that indicates moisture - duh, I have a 125 year old house with a stone foundation - and then he said, "It could be fine for another 20 years, or it could completely go out tomorrow." Eyeroll. All I needed was an outdoor outlet replaced. It cost me $90 to have a service tech come out (expensive, but I understand their time is valuable). The estimate was for almost $500. When I declined, the tech asked what a better price might be for me - which 1-I'm not going to negotiate and 2-I was absolutely ticked that clearly if I had said yes to the initial amount, they would do it, but they were trying to see what they could get me for. NOPE. I contacted another electrician on Angi and they got it done in under an hour for $70. The worst part for Apollo is, I had used them for many things over the years - plumbing, electrical, handyman services. And they will never, ever get another request from me again.
