Rick Whiting has been a senior editor with The Channel Company, including CRN and CRN.com, since November 2006. Before that he worked at CMP's InformationWeek magazine from 1998 to 2006 as a senior editor and, later, news editor. Other publications he has held writer/editor positions with include Software Magazine, Electronic BusinessMagazine and Computer System News. Before moving into trade publishing, Rick was a newspaper reporter at the Daily Transcript in Dedham, Mass., from 1980 to 1986. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and political science from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and an MBA from Babson College.
