His mission is to organise and coordinate the University records management and to garanty the conservation and diffusion of his documentary heritage, by means of the design, implantation and maintenance of a corporate and integral records management system oin the UA, during all his cycle of life, any one that was his support and the organ that have produced them or gathered, basing in values of quality, respect to the valid legislation and service to the university community and to the society.

The service manages the records in any support, from the moment administrative units produce receive records until his destruction or definite appraisal, in accordance with the rules approved by the University and the legislation.

Aims

• To support the administrative management of the University, so much regarding the operation of his organs or services, as regarding the relations of the University with other institutions or with the citizens in general.
• To fulfil with the obligation that has the University, like public administration, to mantain and give accssi to the documentary heritage of historical value for researchers.

Functions

To achieve his aims the Service of Archive and Records Register realises a double function:

• To manage the active university records, in accordance with uniform procedures of treatment that facilitate his organisation and access. Inside this function frames the activity of the Records Register and of the administrative units records management that organise, mantain and give access to records in his active stage.
• To obersee the semiactive and historical records of the University, organising and putting to disposal the records that still can serve of support to the administrative activity, and conserving and facilitating the access to the records with historical value so that it can be consulted with ends of study and research. This function in developped by the University Archive.
