I liked that they gave me a very clear and specific estimate of what needed to be done, they did exactly what they said they were going to do and they gave me a very clear explanation of what they found, not only in that particular job but in the wiring of the house on a whole so I had a very good idea of what the situation is. The work they did turned out very well. I only interacted with them over the phone but I found them very responsive and very helpful and I would recommend them to others.- DUANE B.

Magic Home ImprovementWe were so happy to have found Magic Home improvement! Patrick and Matthew gave us the beautiful kitchen we wanted.....we should have done it much sooner! SUN DOG CONSTRUCTIONIt was a involved process that took many weeks to complete which included taking down all of the walls to find the leaks, repairing the leaks and waterproofing the entire wall then putting the whole thing back to together again. It took longer than I was expecting b/c we then added on the leaking closet to be fixed as well. I have only seen the finished work in pictures and by word of mouth. They say that it looks good and it hasn't leaked.- stephanie m.

J & M ELECTRICI contacted J & M Electric through Angie's List for a quote and Angel responded by telephone within the hour. We arranged for Jon Valaer, the licensed electrician, to come to my home the next day to investigate a non-working electrical outlet. Jon and Angel arrived the next day at the promised time, and were quick to investigate. Checking the circuit breaker box, they thought the issue might be with an electrical ground fault protection switch being thrown. Sure enough, we checked the outlets and reset the switch. The outlet was again live. Total time to correct was less than ten minutes. Both Jon and Angel were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I will not hesitate to contact them again for electrical needs at my Grand Junction home.- Richard R.

He was great- the door installs posed several problems as the original door was not set correctly. Dave was able to solve for everything, and the door looks great now, even though he had to remove and rebuild the door frame. He was very punctual, orderly, and experienced in solving problems. I quickly felt completely confident that the work would be done, and done correctly. He worked through my list at a good pace. Dave is also very pleasant, will definitely be calling again when my list builds up!

One hour to set up a 32 " TV and sound bar. We are now using 3 remotes to operate TV. Kept asking questions. Second hour was the Harmony remote. First he did not bring computer. Had to use ours. Kept asking questions. He did not connect all of our equipment, we need to get someone else to correct what he did. Our last remote programming was done in 20 minutes. Plus during this covid time, he had to use bathroom.

He completed all projects very well and is clearly a skilled handyman. The bed frame in particular was a lot of work, and he did an excellent job. I personally did not use this business(Thank god) but I am posting this for my 81 year old mother who recently became a widow of a Veteran. I say that because they proudly say "Veteran Owned" on their website and this review will show you they could care less. I did however deal with them many times trying to rectify this issue. The following is a copy/paste of exactly what was put into the complaint that was filed on the Federal Trade Commissions website as well as the local BBB complaint. This company had provided a service contract for the year 2020, they made their final inspection of AC and furnace on 24 Dec 2020. At which time they proceeded to pressure my 81 year old recently widowed mother, yes this is her son making this complaint. They charged her $448.30 for the annual contract which only included one trip visit. My mother sent an email to the company within hours saying she did not want the service and to cancel the contract. On 26 Dec 2020 their office was contacted and verified they did receive the email and would process the cancellation. First off the contract was in my deceased fathers name which they changed after sometime. This contract as per the Federal Trade Commissions (FTC) website is cancelable, it even goes as far to say they could take up to 10 days to refund the money. Most know this law as a cooling off period or the 72 hour writer rescission rule, regardless, this should have been over from the start but this company took it on themselves to take their bottom line into consideration above the consumer. Funny thing if you read on their website they talk about the customer and even go as far as saying they are a Veteran Owned company which I doubt since they were screwing over a veteran’s widow. I have spoke with Sean Poole(SVC MGR) numerous times and every time Sean said they were processing the refund. My mother did submit a dispute to her credit card company (Chase Credit card services). On 22 Jan 2021 Sean Poole said the refund was approved for the full amount. In my opinion, this should have never gotten to Chase credit cards, it should have been refunded immediately by One Source Home Service as per the FTC's website and guidelines. One source will not speak with us at all now and said it's a done deal. I called their main office number and requested to speak with Dustin Hood, the site MGR. The gal said she would send him an email and he would call me. Later the same day I called back saying I never heard from Dustin and the gal who answered the phone was the same one I spoke with earlier. Her response from Sean Poole was," yeah, ain't gonna happen, case closed" This company claims to be a Veteran owned company which I highly doubt, they were bought out by Air Pros out of Florida recently. I can't believe they would treat an 81 year old veteran widow this way, this is borderline elder abuse! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, “ONE SOURCE HOME SERVICE” They have only one agenda and one bottom line and it’s not yours!!! A report was filed with the Federal Trade Commission and soon with the Better Business Bureau as well as reviews in several sites. I’m really not sure how a company in this day and age is still in business with the horrible ethics of this company. I would run the other way before doing business with ONE SOURCE HOME SERVICE, they are terrible and pray on the elderly!!!
