Keselman Construction Group, IncI had a wonderful experience with Keselman. They remodeled my basement, kitchen and main bathroom. I worked with their designer Jessica, to pick out the layout for my kitchen, cabinets, countertops, flooring and fixtures. She was helpful and a pleasure. All of the workers that were onsite were professional and extremely trustworthy. The communication from my project manager Sergiy, was awesome. He would let me know each morning if they would be working and went over all the details with me. They were always willing to adjust the scope of work to add additional items I thought of as the project progressed. Also, if any mistakes were made they were quick to correct them and make it right. Ohio Home ImprovementWe had Mike and his team out a few months back, and could not be happier with the improvements to our home, and the service we received. Below is the details of the work we had done. It was an absolute pleasure having Larry and his coworkers in our house everyday. They stayed in communication with us, worked very hard to stay on deadlines, kept our home very clean while it was a work area, and were so respectful of our home. Mike was great to work with in helping us make our vistion a reality and checked in often while work was going on. We had an 8ft large picture window installed where there was previously just a standard single window. The window and the wall they had to cut apart and put back together looks perfect. We added a kitchen island that has transformed cooking and storage in our space and looks like it was always meant to be there. We also had custom shelving made and installed in our living room that runs the length of the wall with our tv on it and frames it just as we had wanted. Lastly, we had an unsightly pole framed in wood to make it better match our finished basement. Practically everyday we comment on how awesome one of our new projects is.- Katie G.

Johnson Home Improvement ServicesWe hired Dan Johnson for our remodel of our only full bathroom. It was a complete gut of an 8x8 space. We were amazed with how quickly and efficiently Dan and his assistant PJ worked. It took 7 days from start to finish (I don't even think these guys stopped to eat) which we really appreciated, seeing is our only full bath. Even though they worked quickly, they didn't cut any corners. The job was impeccable. Work on tile and paint beautifully done. They installed a 48"vanity, toilet, and bathtub and shower fixtures. After the gut, Dan notified us that we would need a new subfloor due to damage that was not repairable. We were made aware of that minor snafu and the additional cost involved. No biggie. The final results are stunning. If there's a way for me to attach pictures, I will so you can see for yourself. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. They were worth every penny.- cathy l.

HTZ Construction, Inc.We got estimates from many companies specializing in kitchens and bathrooms. We opted to go with HTZ to do all our work. Adam and Lori were very flexible in working within our time-frame and completed the majority of the work while I was on a leave. Custom design, cabinets, back splash, paint, and counter-tops. We explained what we wanted and worked with them to find the best designs and solutions. We purchased new appliances, sinks, lighting, etc., and Adam worked them all into the overall design. Our house is older and we ran into issues found during the demolition. Adam helped us through the problems. And, went above and beyond to fix some structural issues while still keeping us within our budget as much as possible. We found working with HTZ to be a very enjoyable experience. These folks take their work seriously and they strive for excellence. At the same time, working with them and communicating with them was a really pleasant experience. HTZ was very responsive to our ideas and questions. They provided feedback that helped us make decisions about how to reach our goals. We asked them to do additional work, outside the original job, and they were able to get this done too. Another dimension of difficulty, all of this was done during the COVID-19 pandemic, before vaccines were available. Adam and Lori and crew really care about doing quality work. You can see their goal is to make customers happy and do the best work they can within the budget. Also, our estimate, and cost adjustments, was always kept up to date. We always knew where we were financially during the entire process. Bottom line? Our kitchen, bathrooms, front entryway, flooring, etc. all tie together well while maintaining a unique look in each area. The kitchen has more light, is more open and inviting, and both entrances to our home draw you straight to the kitchen. I'd highly recommend HTZ to anyone. And, if we choose to do more work on our home, they will be our first choice to contact.- Gary S.

I found Regency Design and Build on Angie's list and based on my discussions with Norm and the detailed quality of the proposal he gave me, I decided to hire them for the major upgrades at my home in Solon. I live out of state, so it was important to hire a company that knew what they were doing, is ethical, honest, and loved my home as much as I did. The crew including Eli, Nicole, Mo, Charlie, and Lisa were incredibly generous with their time and TLC. Norm did a number of video calls with me to show me the status of my work and Eli took lots of pictures and loaded them to their Buildertrend website so I could view them. Nicole was phenomenal with the calendar, scheduling, follow-ups, and keeping me apprised of the job completion status and the team overall ESPECIALLY NORM went above and beyond to address my concerns and needs. Norm was also fair and honest in the pricing of change orders or unforeseen items. He took full responsibility for the performance and quality of the job his team did, addressing gaps immediately without complaining. My project was over $100k and Norm and team delivered an excellent quality job for my investment. I very rarely do reviews of companies and typically only do them when I am really unhappy with the quality of a company's job. This was different. I felt compelled to share my truth about Norm and Regency Design and Build's quality and professionalism. I will likely use them again for a future project.

This is a review for Marquard Home Improvement & Remodeling for work done back in 2018. We hired them to do house renovations (removing wall paper, removing carpet, fixing hard wood floor, painting, completely renovating bathroom, replacing front door). Shawn and his team were fantastic! The renovations were for my parents' house. Shawn communicated very well (especially since my parents don't speak good English, so Shawn and his team communicated with my siblings and me). He and his team were very patient, and they worked with us regarding details for the renovation throughout the project. The quality of the work was fantastic. I still hear my parents compliment it to this day (two years after the work was done). I highly recommend Marquard Home Improvement & Remodeling for house renovation work.

I hired Johnson Home Improvement to install and grout a porcelain tile floor and backsplash in my kitchen. What a mistake! The floor is not flat. When I asked Mr. Johnson if the uneven tiles could be reset, he explained that they could not because resetting one tile would affect each successive tile. When I showed my disappointment, he asked me, “How do you expect me to fix this”? Mr. Johnson stated that I purchased unstraight, made in China tiles that weren’t the greatest. Although untrue, if Mr. Johnson had concerns about the quality of the tile, why didn’t he raise this issue with me? This was unscrupulous on his part. It is more likely that the floor is not flat because he did not use the leveling system wedges in over 90% of the tiles to keep the tiles even. In addition, Mr. Johnson did not grout underneath my appliances. He also did not install the HardiBacker board per manufacturer’s specifications; therefore, voided my warranty on the product. Mr. Johnson installed this floor his way and admitted that he did so regardless of warranties. Be aware! The backsplash was not grouted even though it was part of the contract. Mr. Johnson ran out of grout after telling me on day one that I purchased enough. As experienced by other reviewers, he then increased his quoted price because he would have to return to finish the job. As if that’s MY fault? Unfortunately, we ended up in small claims court. To cut to the chase, Mr. Johnson showed up with two attorneys. They wanted an expert witness. I had compelling photographs showing how badly my floor was installed as well as the unfinished grouting, so I decided not to pay the exorbitant price of an expert witness. That decision cost me in the end. I was awarded no damages towards the cost of the tile and grout, plus the cost for another contractor to tear up this mess of a floor. This was a complete kitchen tear up and redo. It involved cabinet makers and installers, countertop fabricators and installers, drywall installers, electricians, and plumbers. All their work was done with care and knowledge. They were all pleasant and easy to work with. The final step was my floor. Mr. Johnson’s shoddy work and lack of customer service skills put a huge damper and financial setback on an otherwise successful renovation.

Dover completely remodeled our master bathroom. New tile, fixtures, and light in shower. New custom vanity with a cabinet on the counter to hide the cords from devices like hair dryers and beard trimmers. New tile floor. Moved the existing door opening slightly and installed a barn door, New light fixture and fan. New drywall, new subfloor, and replaced some uneven framing in the ceiling. It looks great and we are very happy with the way it turned out.
