    And this, friends, is why repo mirrors/caches/proxy's exist (among other very good reasons). Very happy we use Private :)

    In my day job I introduced private . I can tell you: If you can make it, do it. There are so many advantages. From speed, over availability to control which packages are used. Plus: Packages keep available even a package was deleted on github for instance. 💪

    There are a multitude of reasons, why one should choose to use Private Packagist. If simplicit, ease of use and performance does not convince you (or your managers), maybe reliability and security does 💪

    Third, using Private Packagist () already protected you with Composer 1.x as we have always been using canonical repos there. On top of that we allow you to optionally lock down public dependencies so they have to be explicitly added, increasing security.

    Shout out to who added a new feature to their Private Packagist Interface within -24 hours-. Super useful for to have all new packages we create on our Gitlab environment to each licensee's Packagist account.

    Thanks ! After terrible experiences with support teams blaming customers, unreachable engineers & feature reqs never getting worked on, is trying to do the opposite: support by engineers for engineers, prioritizing customer needs and trusting customers

    Unfortunately we noticed a problem with data integrity and temporarily disabled all background processes again, so package updates and installs of new versions are delayed.
