Agustin. Without doubt one of the nicest, easiest people to work with. Always extremely friendly and his primary goal is to make sure that you're happy with their work. Given that there are always going to be things that need to be re-done/things that are just a little off etc. it was really nice to not ever worry about whether the he was going to be upset or make you feel as though you're being excessively picky. Price: The prices that we were quoted were what we paid. That's not to say that we didn't decided to add a little here or there, which of course you pay for. Also, that's not to say that we didn't discover that the plumbing in the bathrooms needed to be redone, which ended up costing more. HOWEVER, given that a contractor has the upper hand when your entire bathroom is ripped out and it's discovered that the pipes need to be redone, it was refreshing that we didn't feel as though they ever took advantage. Workers: Carlos is AMAZING!! He is the guy who led the crew that did all of the work. He is seriously one of the greatest, nicest guys ever. Fully trustworthy and extremely considerate. An added benefit was that my wife and I got to practice our bad version of spanish. Knowing enough to communicate was a lot of fun. I could imagine that if you don't know a word, it could be a little difficult. That said, Agustin is extremely responsive, so I don't think that it really would have been too much of an issue. The Process: From the little bit of experience we've had doing renovations, you can go one of two ways. You can pay the substantial premium to not have to worry about literally anything, which we did for the total gutting of our ground floor, kitchen, dining room etc. Needless to say, while that is really nice, it costs a multiple of what Augustin charges. Or, if you want to be more involved in picking out and ordering all of your sinks, baths, faucets, tiles, vanities, mirrors etc. in order to save some money and you can find a contractor like Agustin to put it all in for you, rip out all of your old stuff etc. Full disclosure: did not realize how much work is actually involved in coordinating deliveries, picking things out, returning things that have something wrong with them etc. But, we saved a ton of money doing it this way. Quality of work: We absolutely love where we ended up. However, we are extremely picky and detail oriented which meant that a fair amount of little things needed to be redone along the way. As we were living in the house during the renovations, we were able to see when things weren't going exactly as we wanted and were able to intervene early on. That's not to say that the work wasn't done correctly, but rather that the decision to put something in one place vs a few inches to the left or right was occasionally made by the workers and we wanted something else. As noted earlier, Agustin never once made us feel as though we were being overbearing though. All said, we're really happy with the work and would definitely recommend them.
